We don't have to agree with it, but our job is not to silence oppositon, it is to defeat it in the area of ideas.
Show that Palin had more experience than Obozo in executive positions.
Demonstrate that her ideas make sense fiscally and socially
Demonstrate that Mrs. Bush's ideas are misguided.
We are conservatives we don't sink to the level of our opposition, we domonstratre that they are wrong with better arguements not persoanl attacks.
Well said.
The media was elated to jump on this, and to take it to its extreme. By pushing the Republican “elitist” theme, they are attempting to divide and conquer on behalf of their pathetic candidate.
As far as I’m concerned, they’re guilty of elder abuse.
We’re certainly entitled to have opinions on others’ expressed opinions as well.
I for one have strong opinions on the closet leftism of the entire Bush family that has undermined the GOP and our country for decades now, their continued meddling in national politics to position yet another of their soft-gruel family members for the presidency, using the GOP to advance themselves politically and financially and only after their gains coming out to bash those support in the party made that possible, and, most of all, like Tokyo Rove, their digging in to current GOP pols publicly while steadfastly refusing to criticize our current Marxist-in-Chief.
You have pointed out the problem.
We have enough trouble staving off dim attacks without having to rebut republican statements. Bad on her.
What is needed is a united front. If you can't say something nice, be quiet.
As far as GHWB not understanding what the Tea Party is about, well, I think it's pretty clear.
Old school politicians may have trouble with the concept of honesty, integrity, Constitution, Country before politics.
Suggesting any politician stay home for any reason is misguided on its face. Mrs. Bush sounds petty, snarky and nasty.
If she had criticized Palin's ideas or Obama's, perhaps you would have a point.
A lot of the time, I think the reaction here on FR is disgust at how the GOP doesn’t learn to play the stacked game. We know the MSM is lined up against us, and will use any faux pas to smear a conservative, and yet we see high-profile Rs dive headlong into the swamp again and again.
I agree that her opinion is rightfully hers. But I don’t believe it’s wrong to show outrage in how she chooses to express it, by giving cover to the MSM for their continued smear against Governor Palin.
JMHO, of course.
