Barbara Bush tells Palin to stay home in Alaska instead of running for president

Barbara Bush tells Palin to stay home in Alaska instead of running for president. In comments aired by CNN as part of a teaser of a new Larry King interview that is slated to be aired this coming Monday, Barbara Bush can be watched making quite the derogatory statement about her impression of Palin’s ability to become president in 2012. Instead of giving her opinion on Palin’s chances of winning against Obama, Bush basically tells her to stay home in Alaska! Making matters worse is her husband, George H. W. Bush, who also goes on the record to say that he doesn’t know what the Tea Party movement is all about and even questions its ability to fit into the broader political scene? Seriously?! Maybe instead of skydiving on his birthday, the former president should get a clue on the organic groundswell that is the Tea Party. The Bushes’ comments clearly represent the elite, Republican establishment viewpoint towards Palin and the Tea Party.

Esther Ruth, you’ve been around here long enough to know better. George Bush refused to send any money to the EU for abortions. (Obama does) As far as the use of materials from abortion were concerned, he limited it to the nine existent strings which could be used to create more. He was definately against abortion. His wife was pro-abortion, but he didn’t let her call the shots. I was very disappointed in her for that reason.

Those nine strings which existed when George W. was elected have done more to help save lives than any newly aborted baby parts have. That’s why there’s a surge in private capital going into such production.

Excuse me, Esther Ruth. You were talking about Barbara Bush and I misread it as Laura. My statement still stands about allowing the liberal press to use “elitism” as a hate word against Republicans.

And, no, I am not wealthy or in power. And, YES, I am anti-abortion.

Personally, I did not vote for W, but I think he is taking the high road; by not saying anything he ignores those he chooses not to engage with. I think he is doing the right thing.........the classy thing. By taking the high road you always take the best road.

****Please - these so called “elders’ have been abusing us since 1988.****

We haven’t had an attack the size of 9/11 in nine years. The Bushes have never had a New Black Panther Party or anything close to it. It was not Republicans who tried to steal the vote in Florida. George W. wanted to build a wall to keep the illegals out, but Congress would only fund one small part. Who did you expect in the White House, the Angel Gabriel? Oh, and, by the way, as far as elitists is concerned, George Washington came from a well-connected, well-to-do family. Would you hold that against him?

Demonstrate that Mrs. Bush's ideas are misguided

Suggesting any politician stay home for any reason is misguided on its face. Mrs. Bush sounds petty, snarky and nasty.

If she had criticized Palin's ideas or Obama's, perhaps you would have a point.

Perhaps this is a case of jealousy and a touch of anger at the fact that Sarah’s new book will push the Bush book out of the spotlight after only two weeks.

If course he does...

I was a Tea Partyer who voted against this liar, globalist in chief when he got beat by Clinton...And I didn't vote for the slickster either...He knows who we are...

I can’t believe that I actually agree with that RINO on anything. Palin should still be the Governor of Alaska serving those who put their faith in her and not off chasing tabloid celebrity and the almighty dollar.

The media will try and take any good candidate down that runs against their Marxist.

It's 2010. The alternate media is doing just as well or even better than the old traditional liberal media.

It's time we quit worrying about what the propagandists think and it's time to start putting out our own good candidates.

You take Palin's activities ignorantly out of context.

A lot of the time, I think the reaction here on FR is disgust at how the GOP doesn’t learn to play the stacked game. We know the MSM is lined up against us, and will use any faux pas to smear a conservative, and yet we see high-profile Rs dive headlong into the swamp again and again.

I agree that her opinion is rightfully hers. But I don’t believe it’s wrong to show outrage in how she chooses to express it, by giving cover to the MSM for their continued smear against Governor Palin.

JMHO, of course.

excellent

and a sad farewell to my formerly favorable opinion of Barbara Bush for her gratuitous bitchiness against Governor Palin Who has never ever had a critical word to say about

Apparently the entire Bush clan have about as much substance as a hologram. Now please pass the caviar.

I don’t mean to flame anyone.

I don’t mean to insult all of the Bush’s just for Sarah Palin, they pretty much earned insults with their comments.

Barbara’s comment was catty for no reason.
Palin did nothing to deserve such a comment.
HW seems to be in La La Land if he doesn’t understand the Tea Party.
What’s to understand. Just a group of Americans fed up with getting the shaft from the Government and those who are supposed to represent them.
