To the Republican/Conservative base it matters not who has been the warrior, and taken the arrows.
Because our history is to shoot our wounded...so that we can put forth a shiny new one who has been cowering in the corner.
Which of course, is why we are in this pickle in the first place.

Obama has done more for conservatism than anyone since Jimmy Carter.
If you’re looking for a right-wing name from the last 4 years ... Limbaugh, Beck and Palin are the three that most come to mind.

I’m with you. I consider conservative and republican to be two different things - like “sunny” and “warm”.
People think of the two as being the same, but I just got back from a week in Kona where it was cloudy and in the high 80’s, and last year I was in Sout Dakota where it was sunny and 10 below.
The OP asks about “republican”, not “conservative”. And although Rush is conservative, he supported the republicans way more than he really should have. Sarah didn’t. Glenn didn’t.
I would put Limbaugh and Obama at pretty much a tie on this one.
