1. The English language too often falls short of what I want to express; perhaps I need to learn more Russian
2. Recently, President Obama referred to the Democratic thumping at the polls, saying: Making an argument that people can understand, I think that we havent always been successful at that. And I take personal responsibility for that. And its something that Ive got to examine carefully as I go forward. So the end state isnt the problem Americans have with his agenda, its his phrasing of that end state. I suppose were all just too dumb to understand
3. As someone deeply interested in classics, I hated the comparison of ancient Rome with modern America until about 2008, but honestly, if the shoe fits
4. Id hate to be out of touch, but seriously, does anyone actually WATCH hockey? Ive been to a few games and it is fun to attend, but watching it on TV? Its almost as bad as watching golf!
5. I was once digitally harassed (21st century ftw!) for trying to share an article by a conservative writer about the Clinton administration and its faults on Facebook. I harbor no feelings of ill will towards the individual other than I think his attempts to suppress legitimate discussion are lockstep with many other liberals of today. Why not argue the points brought up in the article instead of the go-to argument that Im an idiot and a racist. Even if I am an idiot and a racist, does that make the article or the points raised idiotic and racist?
6. Why does it seem like so many Americans are indifferent about the end of American dominance?
