Once candidate Obamas closest ally,
The LGBT community is dissatisfied with President Obamas inability to deliver on his promises.
Gay groups have become one of the loudest critics of White House policy.
Even louder than the Tea Party.
Heckling the President at Democrat funsraisers
And now abandoning him at the ballot.
Exit polling reveals that gay and lesbian voters played a critical role in the Republican Partys historic gains in the U.S. House on Tuesday night.Although some may consider 31% low,According to CNN, 31% of self-identified gay voters supported Republican candidates for the U.S. House. This number is a dramatic increase from the 19% GOP House candidates won among gay voters in 2008.
Exit polling makes it clear gay voters played an important role in bringing conservative leadership to Congress, said Jimmy LaSalvia, Executive Director of GOProud, the only national organization representing gay conservatives and their allies.
It also proves something we have been saying for months now that the Tea Partys message of limiting government is something that appeals to many gay Americans.
It is a 63% increase over 2008 when the Gay Community marched lockstep with the President.
With their 2010 shift in support, LGBT voters are letting the President know that if he is not going to enact their agenda, while just watching as the economy goes in the tank,
They might as well vote Republican!
Conservatives will probably not enact their agenda either, but at least they will do something to fix our faltering economy.
Not getting invited to enough sleepovers in the Lincoln bedroom?
I think that’s a ridiculous statistic.
Dems want their $$$..their support means very little, because the gay population is overwhelmingly concentrated on the coast, in large urban areas, so that if they don’t vote, it really doesn’t hurt the Dems..
And how the heck can their vote amount to anything but a statistical blip being that they’re only 1% of the population????
The weapon they have is money.
Any news on their allies, the pedophile voters? Have they too abandoned the dimrats?
This article is garbage. There aren’t enough of them to make a difference and what there are, is concentrated in urban areas - not exactly areas where Republicans made inroads. Where they could have some effect is in the financial area, where they tend to have more disposable income. But I highly suspect that the majority of their funds will go to candidates that back their interests, mainly gay marriage, gay adoption, etc. - and those aren’t typically Republican issues.
According to Hill Buzz all the florists and interior designers have gone broke - definitely part of the reason the gays are deserting him, lol!
What will The Barefoot Contessa do when all her friends go belly-up?
That's more than enough to drown the gay involvement.
Besides, the American public has voted to prohibit the Republican party from making use of gays. If they want an active part in politics they'll have to stick with the people over under the Democrat banner.
Ooooooh I’m sure he’s shaking in his boots over it.
How about the Rapist vote? Is Obama still strong in the Rapist community?
In one sense I agree with everyone that gay people are a very small part of the population and aren't going to sway elections. On the other hand, its good to see that at least one "victim status" group is realizing that the liberal victim group spoils system doesn't work and is going to start voting as Americans and not based on some tribal status.
The Necrophiles also feel that their concerns aren’t being met by Obama. The Necrophiles believe that Obama hasn’t honored a promise that they think he made about ready access to fresh dead bodies. I believe that they understand that it’s awfully expensive to procure dead bodies, and they believe that it’s discrimination. Something about being born that way. Hard to follow. They also thing that they should have morgue access.
Rove has identified this as a potential swing group, and is proposing that we give the Necrophiles 95% of what the Democrats are offering. Atwater would’ve considered the Democrats support of Necrophiles as a potential wedge issue to be used against the Democrats, but Rove is continuing to stick with the “F the Conservatives, where are they going to go” strategy.
It’s a trick of some sort. There are Republicans who want us to piss off normal Americans and try to get the Gay vote. Sorry. No. You can vote for us if you want, but your depraved sexual conduct is not acceptable to Republicans.
Forget Gay Marriage, what about getting rid of the Consitutional Right to Sodomy?

Umm... 31% up from 19% of a voting bloc that is less than 5% of the population is not very significant at all, but thanks for playing.
Brilliant comrade. We must show similar concerns and sensitivity to the beastophiles and incestophiles. These people have no choice in the matter, they were born that way. Of course, I refer to sexual gratification between consenting creatures only—this of course will harm no one and as long as it is done in the privacy of their bedrooms/barns, then we must accept this diversity and rid our hearts of bigotry.
Nonsense.. they have never been as powerful politically as their pimps in the media would have US believe.

Quite a few of my neighbors are gay in my retirement community and most are conservative in every respect. They are good citizens and members of their community first and being gay is not foremost in their lives. They never bring it up and most of us don’t meddle into their private affairs. It’s no big thing here. Maybe it’s age or whatever but I haven’t met any radical or militants here in my community.
The thing is, back in the day, Republicans knew that the latest depravity that the Democrats were pushing was something that was the best thing ever to attack.
Then Rove came along, and 10 years went by with nobody saying anything about this craziness.
In Maine, the Maine Government thinks that boys in school who wear dresses are girls, and they should be allowed to use the girls room if they wear dresses. It’s discrimination in Maine to make a boy wearing a dress use the boys room. It’s discrimination in Maine to make a boy wearing a dress use a special bathroom. Boys wearing dresses must use the girls room.
Boys are girls if they wear dresses. Clothing determines sex to the Maine Government.
It’s
1) completely crazy - irrational
and
2) morally depraved - immoral.
Terrible on so many ways. But nobody has made a commercial about it.
This is not a lot of votes.
