One report concerning the state of the Church after the security forces stormed in to attempt to rescue the Christians is particularly horrifying. It came from a police officer, "It's a horrible scene. More than 50 people were killed. The suicide vests were filled with ball bearings to kill as many people as possible. You can see human flesh everywhere. Flesh was stuck to the top roof of the hall. Many people went to the hospitals without legs and hands." It is time for an international outcry of catholics and other Christians. We must stand with out Christians brothers and sisters.

The Catholic Church is too weak to do anything about this.

“The Catholic Church is too weak to do anything about this.”

Just what do you propose that they DO about this?

Yet, during a war, we cannot enter mosques? Yeah okay.

They know they’re in a violent area and situation. The church should at the very least, arm themselves or have armed security to match their enemies as best they can. I’m catholic and I support this strategy.

I was finally Confirmed in the Catholic Church this weekend...(long story on why it didn’t happen sooner as a kid, I am 36 now). Anyway, the church appears to be more liberal than ever Priest and Bishop wise...but..you could get a sense when the Bishop was addressing some issues lightly with regards to the Islamic faith...that they are indeed on alert and Christ will win this one in the end.

The Cathollic Church or Vatican announced Saturday that Israel has no right to the holy land. That it is not the ‘chosen’ people since our Messiah made that null and void. They went full on into replacement theology and are now in my opinion an apostate religion.

I would think this should be the lead story around the world. How barbaric.

The Lord will never abandon his Pilgrim Church on Earth, his bride forever. With God on our side, what earthly thing is beyond us? Remember the Martyrs in our prayers.

They could at least SAY something about it.

But I bet you’ll hear not a word about this from official Catholic sources, particularly in the US, but even in Rome. They’re too busy being “ecumenical” (ignoring the fact that this word covers only other Christian churches and not Muslims) and left-wing. It’s forbidden to speak honestly of Islam, remember?

The Synod of Eastern Rite Bishops got a lot of criticism for their anti-Israel statement (although it actually did not sum up their talks, but basically was the summary by an AMERICAN Greek-Rite bishop). But what is worse is that in their statement, they were actually very objective and firm about Islam, its proseletysing by violence and force, its attempts to exterminate Christians, its violation of human rights, etc. But this appeared only in the first transcripts that came out.

When the official version, as edited by Fr. Lombardi, was published, virtually all negative references to Islam had been removed. The statement was meaningless.

One would think that....however, this is not an unusual story...muslims invading a Christian church, killing, brutality. Nothing new, ho hum.

That was a statement by an AMERICAN Greek-Rite bishop who “summarized” the conference, although most of the rest of the conference was primarily about Islam and how the Church in the Middle East can defend itself. Curiously enough, virtually all of that was deleted from the final statement, probably by lefties in the Vatican press service.

They were Muslims. There really isn’t a difference; it’s just how far the virus has eaten into their brains.
