Democrats at DEFCON 1: Is Christine O’Donnell now leading in internals?
HillBuzz ^ | 10/26/10 | hillbuzz

...

But, Democrats are ferociously attacking CoD as hard as they attacked Scott Brown in Massachusetts. If she is so far behind, what is the point in beating up on this woman?

This is anecdotal, but I think I know why they are doing this…jusr like with Hottie McAwesome there are internals showing O’Donnell ahead.

Today I talked to a friend ftom Team Hillary who is a big Dem fundraiser. He told me that for the last week or so the DNC has been at DEFCON 1 leaning HARD on the rainmakers because they are terrified of a CoD win in Delaware.

The problem is some internal poll that apparently shows that a high percentage of Democrats early voting are voting straight ticket Republican instead…they are Democrats voting against Democrats.

The thing I can’t figure out in the DE race is President Obama.

On one hand, the President had to campaign for some candidates, just to try and remove the “toxic” label. So, the President may have campaigned in DE, because it is one state where the president could do no real harm. Theoretically, anyway.

Or, DE is a lot closer than polls are showing and the President can ill afford to lose Biden’s old seat.

I tend toward the latter explanation, because campaign face time by the President is a limited and valuable commodity. As such, the President probably can’t afford to campaign in a state that is supposedly a “lock.”

Yes. And one of those pieces of legislation.....is....

If O’Donnell wins, I am SO tuning in to Chris Matthews’ show on election night for the endless weeping and gnashing of teeth.

If things go really well that night for the GOP I may end up watching MSNBC all night long.

I’ll be watching too. On the night Scott Brown was elected, MSNBC’s coverage was much more entertaining to watch than Fox’s.

As I recall it was Maddow how had the grim task of telling the moonbats that Brown had won. She looked like she was going to cry.

Well, I have no idea there. The point isn’t that the poll is accurate. I’m not saying anything about a poll that is accurate. The last “real” poll was Rasmussen, taken 10/14, showing Christine down by 11.

What this article is about is an ancedotal story about how Democrats are responding to information they are getting.

Personally, I’m not sure that “early voting” is an option for Delawareans. Absentee voting perhaps? But I’ll let that slide.

People who don’t like polls, but like rumors of polls with no evidence that those polls exist, will appreciate the report of a poll with Christine down by 5. An improvement over the other fictional polls that had Christine down by 6.

Paging Techno. Christine down by 5.

Polls aside, I think she wins. She’s had the opportunity to come across as not a crazy idiot in the debates, and she did even way way better than that. She even beat Coons (Yale Law) at Constitutional Law.

Scumbag Harry will block ODonnell as long as he can if she wins. Scott Brown took three weeks to get sworn in. They’ll stall her past Thanksgiving

I am DRVing MSNBC and watching Fox News. I can go back later and watch the tears I am hoping and praying are aplenty from Chris Matthew and his friends!

Not a bad idea. I wish DVR's were around in 1994.

I don’t bet on any of these races. One could, if one was familiar with intrade.

Illinois and West Virginia also are seated immediately.

I didn’t think Delaware had early voting... Does anyone know? If they did how in hell would they know how they voted at this stage of the process? Votes aren’t counted until after the polls close on election day, correct?

In the face of such withering denunciation, hate, and mockery, O’Donnel has shown surprising fortitude that speaks well of her and lends confidence that she might perform with similar fortitude if elected.

I posted to fishtalk the other day, that I think Christine is going to shock and awe on election night and I’ve not been to Deleware since age five! That Coons is a snooty, pompous arse and unless a person is just like him, I cannot imagine voting for the likes of that slimebag.

This election promises to be like no other.

The Dhimmicrats aren’t near as fearful as the GOP elite of an O’Donnell win. I would much rather tune in and see Karl Rove in tears than Chris Matthews.

This is the same BS retread we heard in 2008. Some insider somewhere saying Dems are worried and talking about polls that never get released. They are attacking her to make a point that whenever these Tea Party types are nominated, they are beaten bad. A couple of days ago there was some talk of a poll showing her 6 points down. Of course no poll has been released. Let’s not be blind to the facts.

My favorite image of that night in 2002 was Daschle after he lost his senate majority job. Of course little did he know he'd suffer another "demotion" two years later.

This has the makings of a great ad. “If you vote for my opponent, there will be no way to stop Amnesty, Card Check, 1% tax, Global Warming and National Service. If you elect me, since I will be seated immediately, I WILL stop them all.”

11 points is close. Not really super close, but considering that we don’t know how much better the Republican turnout will be than the Democrat turnout, and each day brings great news, theres a good reason to think the race would be definitely in single digits if it was Democrats 40, Republicans 37 in terms of turnout.

The most recent poll is Rasmussen 11. The wider gap polls are the older polls.

I do agree with you, and have agreed with you, about the merit of the TCJ Research polls. We both think those are BS. And the TPE polls were good in September, but we don’t know about the particular poll that the TPE was talking about on Sunday.

I think she impressed in the debate, and that Coons is tied to the hip with Obama.

I think she wins.

The reason why the Dems and the media started talking about Christine on September 14/15 is that they can’t help themselves. They don’t like religion or religious people, and they don’t think their viewers do either. They are wrong. Many of their viewers don’t like religion, but many do. People around the country have been watching MSNBC and CNN and seeing the people up there trashing Christine as evil.

Delaware does not have early voting, so they must be referring to other places that are early voting (like Illinois) that voters who are D’s are voting straight R... I hope this is accurate.
