Priceless!
Here is video of an Illinois crowd spontaneously rising to their feet to say the Pledge of Allegiance, even though the League of Women Voters Moderator had said they had no plan to do so. A man calls for a point of order to ask the moderator if they are going to say the Pledge, to which the moderator said, No we are not. As the moderator tried to explain why they would not be saying the Pledge the crowd rose to their feet and began saying the Pledge!
Republican Joe Walsh candidate for Illinois 8th Congressional District says in the video that this was the best part of the entire forum! He is opposing incumbent Democrat Rep. Melissa Bean. God bless these patriots!
Here's the link to the video. !

Thank you, Thank you for the ping!!!! The video is great!!
What get’s me is the moderator’s response “I hope I’m not disrespected like that again!” WTF really?! Could have just said “Thank you, and back to our schedule” and left it. But NOOOO “I hope I’m not disrespected like that again...this was just staged!”
LOL...you know, ‘those’ Americans are kind of hard to control. Lovin’ it!
“It’s good to know that I’m not alone!”

They really are/were kinda/sorta lucky that the crowd didn’t erupt into a spontaneous pledge at each 7.5 minute interval. I would have. And if Ms Hyphen took exception to it... Oh come on, you know better than to give the enemy a heads up on your tactics. Don’tcha?
Walsh proved the adage that, “if the people lead, the politicians will follow.”
It appears from the video that he waffled until it became clear that the audience was rising to recite the pledge. He could have scored points if he’d only been the one to rise first and begin reciting.
But it at least shows he can be controlled by conservatives. I suppose that’s something. Don’t ever let up on him.
Congressman Sam Farr quit saying the pledge at his meetings long ago in California.
At the Fleet Week Admiral’s reception in San Francisco, someone tried to lead the pledge but they wouldn’t turn his microphone on or tell anyone in the audience that the pledge was being recited. We knew about it because we were standing near the gentleman, but people on the other side of the crowded hangar deck didn’t have a clue.
This was the flagship of the new ‘green’ Navy, btw, and isn’t it awful that instead of defense and keeping shipping lanes open, Obama’a mission for the Navy is making it ‘green’.
Oh and by the way the ‘green’ ship wasn’t nearly as shipshape as the USS Greenbay, which is a wonderful example of an American naval vessel, with an excellent crew.
That was awesome (just finished watching). Thanks for the ping Star. :)
LMV official: Pledge of Allegiance demand phony patriotism’
Illinois’ top League of Women Voters official said phony patriotism is driving criticism over a moderator’s reaction when she was asked if the Pledge of Allegiance would be recited before an 8th Congressional District debate this week.
http://www.dailyherald.com/article/20101022/news/710239858/
It is being reported that, not only is the LWV moderator a big Obama supporter but that the LWV “official” that called it “phony patriotism” is a former ACORN Project Vote worker.
That brought me to tears...God bless America AND Americans
who will stand up for what is right!
Just....wow!
We WILL take back our country!!
Done.....this was a defining moment in the Illinois debate!
Good to see you, Allegra! Stay safe...look forward to you being back home!

I luv a heart warming ping now and again.
This one was SO worth it, wasn’t it, Big Guy!
One audience at a time.....thanks for the ping.
