Missouri Democrat Gets Tipsy At Social

I am not one to frown on a drink while I am at a social gathering with friends, but prudence is certainly on my mind.

Missouri State Auditor Susan Montee does not seem to share the same opinion, at least if she is to be judged based on this video clip. It appears that she enjoyed a few too many sips at the Democrat Days in Hannibal, MO. Watch – and pay attention towards the end as she jokes about using “contributor money” for a margarita machine in her state car.

If I can be blunt for one moment I would say that the public intoxication of any adult is dishonorable. That action by a private citizen is one thing. However, the public intoxication of a public office holder is not only dishonorable, but absolutely appalling! Especially when you consider her unique position as Auditor tasks her with making sure taxpayer dollars are spent wisely.

“Margarita Machine Fundraiser.” Really? Is this who you want representing you Missouri?

If I was a Dem in this election cycle, I’d get drunk too. Its not like they’re going to win so why not enjoy the parties and free booze while you can.

On a more serious note, this is why Rule #1 of attending high publicity parties is that no one should ever have more than one drink at a public event. Even if you don’t plan on getting tipsy or drunk, you never know how your body will react if you are tired or worn out.

I wish I could say I’m shocked, but being from
Missouri, unfortunately I’m not and that is really
sad.
Hadn’t seen or heard anything about this on the news in the
St. Louis rag paper.
