The President seems to have some trouble with basic economics. He even admits that he is no math teacher. In a speech discussing the what is poised to be one of the largest tax hikes in history, Obama was using some numbers that need some explaining. He was particularly fond of using the number $700 billion, the cost he is alleging of preventing these tax hikes. First, its ludicrous the President of the United States is calling the aggregate amount of their own hard-earned money taxpayers will get to keep if current tax policy is extended. His implication that this money somehow belongs to the government is criminal. Secondly, $700 billion is an entirely misleading number what he means to say is that the revenue from these taxes would result in $700 billion over ten years. However, to put that in perspective, over the same period, the aggregate cost of our government is $41.9 trillion, and the interest that would be owed on the borrowed portion of that budget would be over $4.5 trillion alone over six times the supposed cost of preventing the tax hikes on the highest bracket alone...

I hope that the people who were credulous enough to vote for this mountebank the first time will at least wake up enough not to be gulled a second time. It's bad enough that our history as a nation must be sullied by four years of this Kenyan clown's rule of folly and destruction; let's hope that he can be voted out in 2012.
You know, a half-way intelligent person would have said “I’m no Mathmetician.” It isn’t surprising President Telepromter thinks a teacher is the end all of mathmatical thought.
I’ve said from the beginning the guy just isn’t that bright. The way he condescends without a thought of how others will react is amusing and sad at the same time.
If proof were needed for OWeBama’s lack of superior intellect, take a look at what he married. I’m no social studies teacher, I’m just callin’ ‘em as I see ‘em!
Where I work we're going to soon be laying off 200-300 people and I'd give anything to know which ones voted for the Kenyan. I know lots of the ones going out have, because I see them wearing t-shirts with his stupid mug on it. And this is at a defense contractor! Whatareyou doing voting for someone who will tear down the military?!! Morons and it serves them right. I just wish I could mock them on their way out.
Of course, if W authored an entirely new theory of physics, he’d still be an idiot in their eyes.

Hubby and took advantage of early voting in Tennessee and voted today...straight R.
However, as long as the ethos that dominates the Washington culture is that allowing taxpayers to keep their own money comes at a cost to the government, things are unlikely to get better.
Bears repeating.
Perhaps the government should be learning that folks can control how much money is sent in to their coffers. Many I know are under self imposed austerity because of the condition in DC. “It’s the corruption, Stupid!”
And I'd've flunked you.
