In a decision that reads more like leftist talking points than a judgment based upon any true and sound legal determination based upon the US Constitution, Clinton appointed “Judge” George C. Steeh has ruled that the commerce clause gives the federal government the “right” to compel any and all citizens whom it wishes and to buy any and all demanded products whether they want them or not. In other words, the Marxist Judge Steeh has ruled that the US Constitution no longer precludes slavery of its citizens. [snip]
The good news is that Americans are forced to confront this brazen tyranny. It’s almost impossible for a politician to sit on the fence now.

I figure this has about an much legal standing as some sycophant socialist idiot's court ruling.
He didnt have to point it out to me. I followed the whole year debate very closely and pinged probably a hundred threads on it.
Politically Obama claimed it was not a tax but a fine 'not a middle class tax increase'. Legally they argued it was just a tax change. While this is typical Obama sleazy politics it is no surprise that the courts ignored the political debate and went to the 'tax' question. As I say, all these special income tax credits and deductions (more-so by dems than Rs) already set the precedents to run our lives.
To be perfectly honest, I hear some that call themselves conservative say they support special tax credits simply because they are for ‘any’ tax cuts. I always say it is dealing with the devil.
In this country the ruling of a judge is LAW until a higher judge or court overrules or Congress addresses the matter through legislation. One can always ignore the law and accept the consequences of that.
I’m sorry to say that I once hosted Judge Steeh in my home. My neighbor has been freinds with him for years, (although she is quite conservative)and I asked if she would invite him over to speak with my Boy Scouts. He came across as a real elitist.

This cannot be the case filed by the AGs of ~20 states...that one won’t be heard until December.
