PHILADELPHIA — President Barack Obama seems to be learning from other people's mistakes.
In Philadelphia for campaign appearances Monday with Senate candidate Joe Sestak, Obama made an unannounced stop at the popular Reading Terminal Market and ordered two cheesesteaks — with the usual Cheez Whiz topping.
He also ordered a mint chocolate chip ice cream cone on the way out.
Obama lately has been trying to convince people unhappy with the economy that he knows what they're going through.

In an overture to his health-conscious wife, first lady Michelle Obama, the president also picked up four apples from a fruit stand. But Obama, who doesn't do much grocery shopping these days, only gave the vendor $1.
Fortunately, Obama aide Reggie Love was nearby to cover the additional costs.
These elitists have no idea how much anything costs. And they don’t care either, as long as someone else pays.
Mmm ... cheesesteaks. Never had one with cheeze whiz, though. May have to give that a shot.

Cheez Whiz is an abomination. Gotta have real cheese, preferably mozarella, provolone or swiss.
I usually just go for white american cheese on a cheesesteak. Lots of it.
Mozzarella tastes too Italian, I guess ... good for a pizza sandwich, though. Never done provelone or swiss by itself, only mixed with cheddar and/or american.

You got that right. Provolone is the only cheese that belongs on a Philly Cheesesteak. Swiss goes with ham & rye, and mozzarella goes with any sausage. Jack goes on nachos and tacos. But Cheez Whiz?

At least you know to use some real cheese. Cheez Whiz is unhealthy, artificial and has a lousy taste. The Obamas have no idea of what good food is. And these are supposed to be our leaders.
So, in order to show the “common man” he feels their pain, he goes out to eat and orders two of the most expensive items he can find. Somehow this doesn’t show me he feels anyone’s pain. The average person isn’t going out and buying Philly Cheese steaks and eating ice cream, they can’t afford it.
My thoughts exactly. Cheese Whiz is crap and to put it on a philly cheese steak is a gross insult to the sandwich.
He pays for radio ads explaining the immigration problem as only a real human can, ends with ;

Swiss cheese on a cheesesteak? Who knew John F’n Kerry posted to FR? I’m a west coast boy and even I know that the only proper cheeses to use are Whiz and American.
Provelone is good.
Around here in Boston if you order a steak and cheese most likely it will come with american cheese in it.
A Steak “Bomb” on the other hand usually comes with the provolone.
I love steak bombs with the pepernoi in it.
I just might have to go out and order one now....
