Seriously.
Would Bill Maher utter a freaking word if Ms. O'Donnell admitted that once, in high school, she'd dabbled with an extremist form of Islam?
No. Because he's a punk. Yes, I said it. He's a punk.
Would the Washington Post raise a ruckus?
No, because they're punks too.
But there's no double standard.
And, last time I checked, there haven't been many stonings, floggings and suicide bombings by Wiccans.
Sharia is not so bad, Pelosi in a burqua sounds good.
Sharia is not so bad, Pelosi in a burqua sounds good.
Yes, they would hammer it, because she is a Republican.
But not if she was a Democrat, any more than they would bring up the witchcraft of a Dem candidate.
Thank you for bringing a much-needed perspective to the O’Donnell craziness the media is dishing out.
I am still laughing.
Did the same media have an issue with Hitlery Clinton dabbling in talking to dead people (i.e.: séances)? =.=
Can we stop saying wiccans (or any group) are not violent like Islamic terrorists? It is illogical. It’s similar to the rantings of the dead atheist Bill Hicks saying, “Last I checked drug addicts aren’t violent like Christians” which is an equally absurd statement. And equally uncomfortably boring, like an entire Hick’s comedy set.
Little history. Hitler and the Nazis were obsessed with wiccan rituals, runes, witchcraft, and the occult. SS night festivals centered around a peculiar form of rituals that supposedly gave them superhuman powers. Last I checked Hitler and the Nazis managed to hate, kill, torture, enslave over 10 million for about 12 years. I think they even had time to fly a few bombs into buildings while they were playing warlock.
Point is Christine O’ Donnell’s curiosity with witchcraft is simply curiosity. Let’s stick to the fact that the establishment is employing a double-faced smear campaign against their enemies. Let’s keep on topic and stop going off on the whole “last I checked XYZ didn’t fly planes into a building” because that absurdity is fast becoming a group think mantra.
We all know that “Must have been the Amish” remains the only standard punchline when dealing with TROP.
Its called..Projection....they ALWAYS accuse others of what they themselves do...
The thing is, nobody’s upset. The MSM aren’t upset, they just think conservatives, who in their mind are completely intolerant, will abandon her with this “revelation”. That’s what this is about, hurting her with her conservative base.
Which of course won’t happen, because conservative are exactly the opposite of what the left this they are. No group of more forgving of past mistakes, provided we believe the repentence is genuine.
They are completely wasting their time.
“Yes, they would hammer it, because she is a Republican.”
Probably- mostly to try to score points on how ‘tough’ they supposedly are on national security issues (Heh)...
...But if a Republican admitted to dabbling in Sharia, they would also use the person as a pawn to hammer the rest of the Republican party. On the mosque issue, the Sharia-dabbler would be trotted out by the MSM to criticize any Conservative who opposed the GZM (much like McCain and others are always used to attack those eeeevil ‘extremist’ Conservatives anytime the liberal Republicans ‘reach across the aisle’) for being ‘intolerant’. The Sharia-dabbler would be used to criticize all the Republicans who voted against Sharia-endorsing Elena Kagan, etc.
The only concern for them is achieving more power at that given moment- ‘consistency’ is irrelevant.
(love the tagline, btw :-) )

—That is a really good point.
They tried to do the same thing with Reagan and his base because he was a divorcee. Look at how well that turned out for them...
And they completely miss the point about forgiveness, which you correctly emphasize. There are a lot of people who did things that seriously harmed them in their younger years (i.e. drugs, gang membership, etc.) who saved their lives by finding religion. The only thing that matters is where the person is now- not when they were lost and confused.
“a lot of people who did things that seriously harmed them in their younger years”
Those of us who have lived to tell can honestly say with confidence that “only the good die young.” Anyone without something regrettable in his/her past is a bald-faced liar or delusional. There has been only one perfect Man.
Obama dabbled w dometic terrorists and these idiots stayed silent.
I think you would enjoy “Unholy Alliance” by Peter Levenda. I’m reading it now and it is great! So many details, I’m amazed. I just discovered him earlier this year and this is my third one and I already have a fourth one on deck.
Fellow Jews - if you haven’t read this book - you need to do it now.
Actually, I think they would raise a fuss. Just look at how the liberal media reacts if a conservative admits to being homosexual, or is caught having an affair, or gets charged with a crime.
On the other hand, if a liberal politician does these same things, the liberal media either shushes it up, or is filled with claims that conservatives are raising a fuss, even if conservatives haven’t said a word.
