Frightening as the image might be to ponder, "the architect" Karl Rove was stripped bare for all to see on Fox News' Hannity show Tuesday night, thanks to his odd response to Christine O'Donnell's win in Delaware.
Rove demonstrated to all what I have believed since 2000: that he is a political operative with little or no evidence of a philosophical soul. Voters -- equally soulless in his mind -- are mere commodities to deal with, and precincts are the way these commodities are organized. They are to be bought and sold with the micromanaging of a trade deal here or a pro-life direct mail piece there -- orchestrated by the ruling elitists in Washington.

A gross over reaction in my opinion. To read the myriad articles you would think Rove had denounced Sarah Palin, Jim DeMint and the entire Tea Party movement as unpatriotic and un-American. To read the reactions you would also believe that he had caused O’Donnell’s defeat.
Instead, he doubles down on the "rectitude" crap. Since when does a guy who's just dumped his wife of many years want to posture and use self-righteous words like "rectitude" as if O'Donnell does not have any, that she's some kind of immoral woman?
Has Rove ever campaigned for a woman, or campaigned against one? Is this just his sexism coming out? His candidates have no 'nads, so it was up to conservative women to step up to compete for office.
Is Karl just a 180 pd sexist sack of wet biscuit dough?
I'm one angry woman. I'll bet I'm not alone.
It all started with G.H.W. Bush’s “kinder and gentler” America and morphed into “compassionate conservatism” and ended up with Teddy Kennedy drafting the No Child Left Behind legislation and other big spending mistakes.
This article pretty much nails it. Rove should take his “smarts” elsewhere. And FoxNews should quietly withdraw their “contributor” contract. And apologize to their viewers.
Throw Dana Perino in with that bunch too. The only reason why the above group is associated with their particular parties is because that is where the job openings were back when they were beginning their careers. They have no core values beyond getting and maintaining their guy in office.
We must get rid of our domestic enemies.
He may yet.
I haven't yet tried to unravel the thing but Rove claims she carries some unacceptable baggage while she replies she's traveling light. Have to let the dust settle a bit to see what's there.
What is amazing is that we all are discussing this but people like Kennedy, Reid, Bill Clinton, Grayson, Bawney Franks, and even Obama are considered totally acceptable. Nothing can top the scurrilous behavior of these folks.
One thing we need to all keep in mind is that normal people will never run for office on our side if we expect no human foibles and mistakes. Most people if faced with financial burdens will take help if offered. In this case, some of what is claimed may have a little truth to it, but do those things outweigh the damage of placing a leftist Soros nominee as candidate for our side?
Most excellent post
BTTT
What happened with Rove and his wife?
I haven't either. I thought he'd back down, but he won't give it up.
Obama, Reid, Pelosi, Frank -- these are not normal people in any way. They are corrupt ideologues who hunger for power and seek to rule over others. They are radical extremists, far outside the American mainstream.
Christine O'Donnell and Sarah Palin -- very typical Americans. Maybe one has an accent. Maybe one had trouble paying bills. So what? That's what American are like. We don't claim to be perfect, and we recognize that individuals need to take responsibility for their own lives because of that.
William F. Buckley famously said: I'd rather entrust the government of the United States to the first 400 people listed in the Boston telephone directory than to the faculty of Harvard University.
Well, the government we have right now is pretty close to being the faculty of Harvard university. Sarah Palin and Christine ODonnell are closer to being normal people in the phonebook.
Buckley was a smart man.
I'd like to know more details, myself. Was it a rectitudinal divorce?
"Rectitude" is a synonym for honor. Rove is saying that O'Donnell is immoral. That totally fries my motherboard.
I guess he (Rove) really was what the Left said. I’m sending his book back to him with the word “Judas” scribbled on the front. I went to Drew University and took two language classes at Fairleigh Dickinson, which was a decent school right down the street from Drew. If she had completed the coursework, yet not paid her final bill, well she wasn’t alone. If you didn’t pay for your cap & gown for the grad ceremony, you wouldn’t get your diploma. Karl Rove admits that he was the reason Bush didn’t fight back against those scurrilous leftist charges in 2005, he’s an overblown fool, a puffy faced, dough boy. He’s a pufferfish.
The Wikipedia entry, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Karl_Rove, shows that he and his wife parted amicably. It’s his second divorce.
I didn’t know Rove got divorced again last year. I’m sorry Rove went on and on about O’Donnell again on Greta last night. He never trashed democrats like that. I had to turn the channel.
It’s actually been years since I watched regular tv, but I started watching it this year to escape from reality. ‘The Mentalist’ is on at 10:00 ET tonight. I even watched ‘Dancing with the Stars’ this year.
Thank you...
You are welcome, suh.
I don’t think Rove was right to say what he did, but he was essentially correct. O’Donnell will be destroyed in November. I certainly hope not, but it doesn’t look good. And Rove is no turncoat. His bona fides are impeccable. And you guys know it.
