My friend posted this to my facebook page. I'm stunned.
Castle was a moderate. Moderates create great policy. Castle was great policy.
Apparently the majority of his constituents disagree.
He's been voted off the island...
You should have left it on facebook.

Don’t you mean “I’m stuned”? ;)
So? Is intelligence the most important item you look for in a friend?
Your friend clearly subscribes to the “See Spot Run” school of political analysis.
Guess not. LOL
What’s facebook?
Why Mike Castle Lost
He didn't learn the lessons of earlier primaries.
Sep 15, 2010 · BY Fred Barnes
One, he didnt run as a conservative or at least as someone whod taken a conservative stand on important issues. Hed voted against ObamaCare and is a cosponsor of repeal legislation. He voted against the stimulus. Hes for extending all the Bush tax cuts. But in Delaware, who knew?
It drove Castles supporters in Washington crazy that he wouldnt emphasize these positions. He was urged to do so by the folks at the National Republican Senatorial Committee, but he ignored their advice.
Two, he stressed something that rarely works in primaries: vote for me because I can win the general election and my opponent cant. This is called strategic voting. But primary voters tend not to be strategic. They usually vote for the candidate they like the best and agree with the most. That turned out to be ODonnell.
Three, Castle didnt respect a Tea Party-backed rival. Rather, he felt insulted, Im told, that he had to face ODonnell, backed by both Sarah Palin and Republican Senator Jim Demint, in the primary.
Hadnt he noticed what has happened in other states earlier in the primary season — in Alaska, Utah, Colorado, among others — when candidates like himself were knocked off? The Tea Party candidates havent always won, but theyve proved to be a formidable threat to more credentialed and establishment-oriented candidates.
And four, personal attacks dont work as well this year when issues like the deficit, debt, taxes, and the size and scope of the federal government loom so large, blotting out other concerns. ODonnells flaws are too numerous to count, but Delaware Republicans were inclined to overlook them because she was the more conservative candidate of the two.
Castle should have benefited from the lessons from the earlier primaries. They were hardly a secret. But he appeared to have learned nothing. Which is why he lost.
Very interesting, but schtupid.
Castle did not create any policy, great or otherwise. He was largely an Obama backer. Obama and Castle are radicals by American standards, not moderates.

No one knew...

However Castle:
In 2010 Gun Owners of America gave Rep. Michael N. ‘Mike’ Castle a grade of F .
Delaware Congressman Mike Castle and Rep. Todd Platts (R-PA) introduced the Accountability and Transparency in Ethics Act to create a more open and honest political process by prohibiting the use of campaign funds to compensate spouses and other immediate family members; requiring ethics training for lobbyists each Congress; and extending the amount of time between service for those Members of Congress, senior staff, and executive branch officials who wish to lobby Congress from one year to two years.
I rise today to urge support for amendment No. 2 to the CLEAR Act, which will help ensure that there is no delay in the development of ocean renewable energy resources, including offshore wind, under the MMS reorganization called for under title I.
Vote to concur with Senate amendments and pass a bill that appropriates money to the States for teacher employment purposes and increases the Federal Medical Assistance Percentage for qualifying states for parts of fiscal year 2010-2011.
Appropriates $10 billion for the Education Jobs Fund to be allocated to states for the retention, rehiring, or hiring of elementary and secondary education employees (Sec. 101).
Project smart vote..

Oh I get it. It’s someplace the kids post trash they will regret in 20 years.
NRA gave him an F.
That makes it official in my world; he is a scoundrel.
Even Harry Reid occasionally votes against Obama positions. When the US Constitution is in danger, such trivialities mean nothing.
