What Drove James Lee?
Burkhart's Blog ^ | 09.02.10 | Alan Burkhart

On Wednesday, September 1 James Jay Lee stormed into the Discovery Channel’s office and took several hostages. He had a long list of grievances, most related to the human population and the environment. His rhetoric made him sound more like a real-life Kodos the Executioner than an environmental activist. To put it mildly, Lee was a man with an ax to grind. People will argue for months as to whether the guy was a leftist or a rightey, and it's a good bet that neither side will be willing to say, "Yeah, he was one of us." Who'd want to?

The fact that his views often reflected those of the extreme (not the mainstream) Left was a coincidence. Had the Right espoused such views, Lee would have still been in agreement. It was his hate, not his concerns, that drove him.

He was driven by Al Gore/ leftist propaganda. The left should just drop the propaganda! Then again, you can't sell socialism without propaganda because socialism just stinks without propaganda!

So now comes the idiot leftist spin as if we dont know what this greenies motives were.

He was a left-wing greenie disciple of Al Gore. But of course the left-wing idiot machine wants to act as if it is a mystery.

I heard Alan Colmes on the way home start ranting at Steve Mulzberg that he was against ‘anchor babies’ and that made him right-wing. This is a total bunch of bs and spin by Alan Colmes.

The reason James Lee was against ‘anchor babies’ was because he was against the pollution that human migration causes, he was against the expansion of life that immigrants seek, and that when they prosper due to immigration they then tend to breed and have larger families. It had nothing to do with wanting to see ‘border security’ but was purely for enviormental reasons.

This is another example in a long long list of examples of the democrats and left-wing breeding terrorists with their ideologies.

The left-wing and the democrats fight constantly for terrorist rights. They continually give moral support and sometimes even physical support to our enemies as well.

They have a long history of terrorism from when the KKK was a terrorist wing of their party to the days of Bill Ayers and the Weather Underground and onto the enviro-terrorists and animal rights sterroists of ALF and ELF.

The democrats should just call themselves the terrorist party and come clean.

The more important question is what caliber bullet drove through his thick liberal skull the most effectively.

45 ACP. Because shooting twice is just silly. :-)

I’m thinking .223 was a more likely caliber for the Jump-Out Squad to be shooting that day. It sounded from witness reports like they were carrying assault rifles, and I’m betting that the operational debrief on this incident was highly enlightening if not outright entertaining. Nothing beats a job well done.

I’d love to have a peek at the Coroner’s report on this meat to see how many shots hit home...nothing like a bad example to deter any more left wing wackos out there who might be considering similar actions.

There was nothing random about his motives. He was caught up in a left-wing ideology.

disagree.

the modern leftist is a sniveling whelp waiting for someone to bring him his puppychow. usually a blogger type, addicted to world of warcraft or everquest or oxy's.

i knew some real hardcore leftists in the 70’s, people who acted with intent and (deluded) purpose. drugs solved the problem they posed to society. from what i observe, toady's lefties are scared of a gun on the street and think guns kill all by themselves. they want mumagov to keep them safe.

the ones i know today are mostly vile small scared nitwits with one reprehensible trait or another. most leftists hate authority because they have putrid behavior traits to hide.

toady's dangerous leftists are in the government and media; and i can assure you they do not get dirty.

they encourage whackjobs like this guy; and sit back and enjoy.

"...the modern leftist is a sniveling whelp waiting for someone to bring him his puppychow...

So true. This guy wasn't your typical lefty as today's lefties go. Perhaps a throwback to the violent leftists of old. But whatever else he was, he was a thoroughly dangerous man. I say good shot and good riddance.

Nope...the question was what drove James Lee. I figure he must have been a Prius guy.
