Palin’s conservative fans need to reassess her “victories”
Seeing Red AZ ^ | 2010-08-26

The Hill runs a report crediting Sarah Palin for her many Republic primary victories. Before conservatives take too much pleasure in such news, read how she is credited with helping sweep John McCain to victory. Palin traveled to Arizona and made numerous campaign appearances with McCain, bringing him the Tea Party creds he so desperately needed to undercut the fact that he is a nearly three-decades-long, left-leaning Washington insider.

That Palin chose to conveniently back McCain over conservative former U.S. Rep. J.D. Hayworth is a truth that should not soon be forgotten. Her help, McCain’s falsely running to the right, taking positions adverse to his established ones and $21 million dollars in attack ads did the trick.

Sarah Palin is all about expediency. She is no conservative.

Her daughter Bristol is running amok and turning the public image of the Palin family into nothing more than daytime soap opera trash.

Her daughter is, for all intents and purposes, an adult who makes her own decisions. The Palins are in good company as many parents have adult children still capable of making them cringe.

Not unlike Ron and Nancy's daughter Patti, who endeavored to publicly humiliate her parents by actively opposing all of her father's policies when he was governor and president. She lived out of wedlock with a member of the Eagles, back in the 70's, when living with someone you weren't married to was a much bigger deal than it is now. And since her father was CA governor, it was even more special. She wrote books that reflected badly on her parents and family life as a Reagan. Oh yes, the twentieth century's greatest president had a grand time keeping his daughter in tow. We were lucky, though. No internet, no celebrity rags to report all the dysfunction. If they had been around back then, we might not have had The Gipper for one term, much less two.

She has demonstrated the fortitude to take it to the opposition when most male conservatives have abdominally withdrawn their cahones.

Most accurate statement of the century...LOL!

Ron Paul seems kinda KKKlanish like Robert Byrd.

“If you have ever been robbed by a black teen-aged male, you know how unbelievably fleet-footed they can be.”

“Given the inefficiencies of what D.C. laughingly calls the `criminal justice system,’ I think we can safely assume that 95 percent of the black males in that city are semi-criminal or entirely criminal,” Paul said.

Paul also wrote that although “we are constantly told that it is evil to be afraid of black men, it is hardly irrational. Black men commit murders, rapes, robberies, muggings and burglaries all out of proportion to their numbers.”

Stating that lobbying groups who seek special favors and handouts are evil, Paul wrote, “By far the most powerful lobby in Washington of the bad sort is the Israeli government” and that the goal of the Zionist movement is to stifle criticism.

I did, for a week. Now, I’ll just wait until the screeching nags get me banned.

Speaking of lying sacks of it, can you tell us again about Gunny Pop and Duncan D endorsing FioRINO?

I thought you swore off your anti-Palin jihad. You told Jim Rob himself that you were done.

Liar.

She owed McCain big time and proved that she would reliably repay political favors.

Yes, and this is the "system" we're trying to get out of Washington. Payback over principles is not what conservatives are fighting for, but it's what pols like McCain live on.

No, fourteen.

Maybe you should try learning mental math instead of simply counting on one hand.

Heh....so you were still in elementary school at the age of fourteen???

Crikey, friend, most of us were off to high school at that age. You sure you learned counting in school?

I’m not angry — just shaking my head at your snarkiness.

What are the names of those other McClintocks that you were thinking of?

At #115, you wrote: "What, like five years ago?" to which I replied at #138 "No, fourteen." (i.e., fourteen years ago, or 1996). But hey, if you have problems with reading comprehension, you've got problems.

Not a chance, toots.

As long as you come onto FR and bash Sarah Palin - especially after promising Jim Rob that you were done, I'll be here for ya.

You wanna drop it, I'll drop it, too.

Chopping each other up over SP before the midterm elections reminds me of a bunch of penned hogs chewing on each other’s tails when the next day they’re all loading out to the slaughterhouse.

Wake up people! Thanks, Niteflyer.

You pulled the lever?

Who'd you vote for in the 2008 general election? Yeah, I paid McCain in full two years ago, although he would have never gotten that vote out of me without Sarah being on the ticket.

What in God’s name was snarky about hearing the names DeMint and McClintock given as a person’s leading choices for the 2012 Presidential race, and being puzzled by the name McClintock.

Being in California, I of course had a puzzled first thought of TOM?, but that didn’t make any sense so I wanted to know who he meant.

If you think that people in the nation are under the impression that Tom McClintock is a candidate for President, then you need to get out more.
