A 6th grade boy in the small town of Itasca, TX, about 40 miles south of Fort Worth and just north of Hillsboro TX off I-35, was ordered out of class and into in-school suspension after showing up on the first day of school because his hair is considered too long.
The Itasca Middle School handbook outlines student conduct and behavior including a dress code which details length of hair for both boys and girls. Girls are allowed to have hair of any length; however, boys are not allowed to have hair longer than shoulder length.
12 year old Kenneth Frails was in trouble from day one because his straight blondish-brown locks easily extend several inches past his shoulders. But this wasn't the first time he was in trouble for having long hair. Last school year, when Kenneth's hair grew long enough to break school rules, he was placed in in-school suspension. He did not get it cut shorter, so he remained in suspension for the remainder of the school year - approximately 9 weeks...
In an interview with Dallas-Fort Worth TV station CBS 11, Kenneth's mother, Marsha Wisnoski, tells why Kenneth has not had his hair cut: "He's my son, and I want to teach him to stand up for what he believes in ...

Whenever I see a man with long hair I want to set him on fire.
The irony was not missed, even to very young teens.
The mother is obviously IGNANT!
Every year, parents and students are given a student handbook which they must agree to and sign. She and junior don’t have a leg to stand on.
Tell this idiot mom that when her kid can walk on water like Jesus he can have his hair long like Jesus.
Because your son isn't Jesus.
the way the courts are, they probably have a sex discrimination case, since the girls are allowed to have longer hair than are boys.
Heck he could say he is a “trans-gendered” girl in a boy’s body and get exempt because he really feels he is a girl.
Does the school have a hair regulation for gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgendered students? Do they only talk about boys and girls? Are they behind the times?
1) Deal with it.
2) Leave.
How would he know? The Bible provides no description of his hair style.
So if Johnny brought a lunch pail full of grasshoppers to eat at school, that should be ok too?
I really don’t care what these parents and their kids do, but all the same, Jesus did not have long hair.
“Doth not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him?” (I Cor. 11:14)
Jesus did all things well, certainly nothing shameful, so it stands to reason that He did not have long hair like a woman’s. The “long haired Jesus” is an artefact of Renaissance painters depicting Him as they themselves appeared, it has no basis in biblical fact.
On the one hand I’m surprised schools are enforcing hair codes.
On the other hand, I highly encourage people to get their kids out of public school anyway, and educate them yourself. So, if they want their kid in public school, then teach him to obey the rules. If they don’t want to follow the rules there, then send him to a private school somewhere that doesn’t have the same rules. Or homeschool him.
Jesus did not have long hair.
Jesus probably didn’t wear his hair long, but I don’t see what one has to do with the other anyway. If the school has a dress code, he will probably have to follow it. There are far more important things to stand up for.
Excellent post.
Pick your battles. As idiotic as having a President who hides his birth certificate.
When you can walk on water, then maybe we'll consider giving you a pass on the hair thing.
Jesus was cool. Your son is a dork. Any other questions?
