There is much ado recently about the proposed mosque to be built at Ground Zero and the wife of Imam Rauf has subsequently gone on CNN to state that "It's not even Islamophobia, it's beyond Islamophobia -- it's hate of Muslims," she said. "And we are deeply concerned."
Well, Daisy, I hate to tell you this, but you've hit the nail on the head with me anyway, just not in the manner you think. I also am deeply concerned and have been so for a number of years. I can't speak for anyone one else but I'll tell you a few things I hate...
I hate seeing someone try to force a specific form of religious worship upon me and others under the threat of death.
I hate seeing someone try to force upon me a brutish and archaic form of law which doesn't hold me as an equal before the law.
I hate seeing someone dance with glee when devastating attacks occur on their presumed enemy.
I hate seeing someone who wishes to completely destroy other nations by driving them into the sea.
I hate seeing someone perform an honor killing for some perceived slight, believing it to be a form of justice and an honorable act.
I hate seeing someone who, in this day and age, would stone others to death, often without a trial.
I hate seeing someone indoctrinate young boys, warping them in the process from forever interacting with other societies, into believing that certain groups of people are "evil" and should be murdered outright.
I hate seeing someone perform clitorectomies (female genital mutilation) on young girls for no reason beyond religious dictates.
I hate seeing someone, under the dictates of their religious tomes, lie to anyone not of their religion.
And most of all I hate when somebody can't discern the difference between hating a person or group of people and hating the actions of people while being told sanctimoniously to get my own house in order.
So yes, Daisy, there is hate. And if Muslims, as a people, happen to fall into the category of the things I hate then they have only themselves to blame. Their actions dictate my response.
I'm sorry about that. It's just that I appear to have principals different from theirs.
Excellent.
We hated the Nazi’s in World War II also. It’s the way you are suppose to treat your enemies in a time of WAR.
There are lots of nice, mainstream Muslims in America. And they will be nice to you right up until the moment when they saw your head off.
Time for a “Daisy-cutter”?
Daisy,, go google “sleeping giant”.
Start you argument with a lie Ms Daisy and you lose the debate.
IF, as the supporters of this center claim, it is to foster toleration and understanding of Islam, they would move it since the vast majority of New Yorkers oppose it’s construction at Ground Zero.
There is a Mosque 5 blocks away, there is no need for another one here.
That they refuse to move it indicates they are not at all interested in bringing us together but are looking at the symbolic value of the site.
Excellent. Mind if several million of us borrow that?
LLS
Thank you very much.
Correct...’moderate’ Muslims will disappear the minute they are a majority...
Rauf is a modern-day incarnation of Fritz Kuhn, who headed the German-American Bund in the 1930s, that pretended to be patriotic Americans, but really was a front for Hitler.
I hate the fact that we’re being forced to be tolerant while we endure intolerance. Actually, that’s not quite accurate. We’re being forced to ACCEPT AND EMBRACE Islam and all its odious, ignorant practices while being taunted with the threat of death as “infidels.” After 9/11 the Muslim women in my neighborhood freely walked the streets after dark with no fear, and they should have had none. Christians and Jews weren’t going to harm them. But those very same Muslim women couldn’t wait to get a TV camera and mic in front of them so they could whine, bitch, and complain about their treatment in America.
So, now what do we do about it?
Now, if Mrs. Daisy should physically attack you personally then I've no quarrel with self preservation or self defense.
I hate listening to muslim activists self-righteously use the very Bill of Rights they would abolish to justify their slow dismantling of my country.
It would be almost impossible to overreact to this threat.
