Obamacare already jacking up rates

Elections have consequences. Words really do have meaning. The fools in the Blue States are learning these truths the hard way.

The Hope and Change crowd is getting some change, but not the kind they thought they were getting when the closed their ears and eyes and voted for a charlatan they knew nothing about.

The costs of Obamacare, that many of us warned about, are already being felt in several states that voted for Barack Obama and the best part is the first victims out of the shoot are the unionized public employees.

In Iowa state employees using Blue Cross/Blue Shield are paying up to 11.2% more in premiums for the same or less health care thanks to the provisions of Obamacare. The State of Iowa will pay an additional $17 million to cover its employee’s medical insurance as well.

In Washington State, another Obama stronghold, unionized State employees will have to ante up increased healthcare insurance premiums. Starting January 1st some will be paying 50% more for what they had before Obamacare. The “No” votes from both the in-service and retired workers representatives meant nothing.

The same pattern of unionized state workers getting what they voted for has emerged in New Mexico where its employees have been told to get ready for an 8% raise in health care costs starting in January.

The Land of Enchantment’s union thugs have been dipped into the cold water and according to a retired AFSCME Council spokeswoman, "The public sector folks have taken quite a bit of hit." So have we lady and it’s nice of an old socialist like you to share some of our pain.

The very deeply Blue Rhode Island is getting its lesson in how Obamacare really

Does anyone know what ObamaCare is going to do to the Veterans Affairs (VA) Medical system? Thanks in advance!

The union fools may be seeing an increase in their healthcare costs (along with the rest of us), but they can more easily afford the hit. The stats are in showing that so-called “public sector” employees are generally paid higher than their private sector counterparts.

When these increases hit the private sector, THOSE employees are REALLY going to take it in the shorts!!

In November, we have the opportunity to tell Congress in no uncertain terms what we think about their leftist agenda-based politics that ignores the voters. In fact, on November 3rd, I hope we can say with a loud voice “Can you hear us, NOW?????” to all of those who will be clearing out their offices and heading home to the (unexpected) unemployment they have handed to the rest of America!!!

Depending on where you live, it will make the healthcare system as bad as the VA. If you're in the east, you will have the opportunity to see how bad the VA system is in the central/west parts of America.

And your level of care is changing already as well. My aunt told me recently that my uncle has been to the doctor’s twice for what could be a serious condition. Both times he was seen by a nurse practitioner who merely prescribed some antibiotics that haven’t helped. Not knocking nurse practitioners for minor illnesses, but if it’s something major or could be major, I want to see a doctor.

Of course, as this so-called reform takes hold, we will wind up with fewer doctors, and the ones left will be graduates of some medical school in a third world country or beneficiaries of some form of affirmative action. You will be paying through the nose for health care that you won’t get. Welcome to hope and change.

Our premiums went up 15% after passage of the bill, and the boss just said they went up another 30% just to subsidize all the freeloaders who are coming aboard (those are my words, not his). Our next paycheck will reflect the major hit.

The older people in the office are really getting the shaft. Even an associate of mine who works for the Mental Health Department is LOSING her insurance so that others can have it.

Just wait until the tax cuts expire...

I have friend who are going to LOSE their company insurance because the company has informed that that the penalty to not cover them is cheaper than the coverage...it is happening coast to coast.

This is all the more reason for people to openly defy unconstitutional Obamacare! The people are not bound to comply with an unconstitutional act!

Premiums went WAY up so my husband’s employer (in Wa.state) canceled everyone’s insurance and then went w/another company. BUT they won’t provide secondary insurance for my husband because he already has medicare & the premiums for me are still astronomical because of a preexisting heart condition and still doesn’t cover colonoscopies and prescriptions and I forget what else (things us old “freeloaders” need). So I’m uncovered, shopping around to find affordable (ha) coverage, and biding my time for my own medicare (in 4 years).

But obamacare is keeping medical costs down, just like he said.

What you misunderstood was when he said “costs” he was talking about the federal budget for medicare.

To get this savings, you simply raise taxes, insurance premiums, and out of pocket expenses.

See - - easy!!!

two weeks after obamalamadingdong care i get a notice from Meidca that rates increase by $100.00, a month later I get another notice that due to the size of my family rates will increase by $250.00. Now our health insurance is more than my mortgage. We are considering dropping insurance and banking the monthly costs and carrying catastrophic only.

Yup, and I suspect that was a deliberate part of this alleged health care reform. As more and more companies refuse to provide coverage, there will be a clamoring for the “public option”...which is what Obama and his henchmen have wanted all along.

That's a total increase of $350.00 just since passage. Its gotten to a point that politicians don't come to my neighborhood or send their propaganda to our house. We will be voting anti incumbent and anti-communist.

“Yup, and I suspect that was a deliberate part of this alleged health care reform.”

No doubt about it...it WAS the plan...it has two goals:

1. Encourage private buisness to drop insurance.
2. Drive up the cost of PRIVATE insurance so they can BLAME private insurance companies for the rising costs.

3. Institute the Public Option because of the naughty private insurers raising rates.
