Waxing nostalgic...
Anyone remember Bill Cardille (”Chilly Billy”) and the “Chiller Theatre” that ran from ‘63 to ‘83 in the Pittsburgh area?
Best late night horror flicks ever! ;-)

Wasn’t exactly a kid because I was about 25 when it came out, but “The Entity” scared the living crap out of me then and still scares the living crap out of me now!

Pinocchio.
I'm claustrophobic.

That kid scratching on the window was definately the stand-out scene in that movie for me.

"Do you by any chance remember the old TV show Thriller with Boris Karloff as the host?"
I enjoyed this series and bought it on DVD from a small online company. The quality is very good. Now I see that the complete series is being released on DVD on August 31st and can be pre-ordered/purchased on Amazon.

Salems Lot - “Visions of a young boy floating outside my upstairs window while smiling evilly and scratching nails on the glass...”
It shook me too!

Honestly, that one just blew everything else out of the water to me as a kid.
It was a very hard thing to find again. I’m sure I saw it under the US name, which I believe was “Five Million Years to Earth.”
I was probably eight or nine when I saw it on television. I found it on a search engine putting in things like “English,” “Underground,” “Aliens,” “Drill,” “movie,” and coupling it with likely years it was made (50s through 70s).
But when you know something can be SO GOOD, the gnawing in the back of your head compels you to do it.

Tippi Hedren really was a beautiful girl. “The Birds” is the only movie I recall seeing her in.

“It!” from 1959. It is the movie on which “Alien” was based.
