I heard this song long, long ago,. It was nice to hear it again.
I lived down the street from him in Nashville when I was a kid. One of my childhood friends and I used to hide in a ditch across the street from his house hoping for opportunities to see him. As I understood it, he was pretty rowdy in those days, and we expected to see him come reeling out his front door and landing flat-faced at the foot of his front steps. It never happened, fortunately. I had a mad crush on his son, Mike who, if I’m not mistaken, was killed in a car accident in his 20s.
Red was beloved by many Nashvillians. Thanks for posting that.
