For the first time, a majority (50.1%) of Americans disapprove of President Obama’s job performance in the Realclearpolitics.com poll average. Just 44.9% think he’s doing a good job.
The weak economy, which helped carry Obama into the Oval Office in 2008, is now dragging him and his fellow Democrats down on the cusp of the midterm elections.

From a historical perspective it really needs to go about 5 or 6 pts higher for Obama to be toast in 2012.
I think 0zero loves it. The more he’s disapproved of, the more progress he’s making in his agenda. I believe he’d love to see a 99% disapproval rating as evidence that his mission to destroy the USA was complete.
Yep the number is higher. RCP achilles heel is it treats all polls as equally valid. Thus a CBS or CNN media push poll is treated as equally valid as a Rassmussen poll.

If 44% of Americans approve of this foreign born socialist America hating, whitey hating poser, this country is finished.
I can name two, Reagan and Clinton.
The point being that anything over 50% disapproval, while not something the White House is smiling about, does not make Obama’s defeat automatic.
