One of my early blogging assignments was the media bias beat over at Newsbusters, so I became particularly attuned to picking up on how the Old Media toes that "unbiased" journalistic line. Unfortunately, in sometimes subtle ways their rhetoric is geared to smear Republicans in any way possible.
Here is a perfect example. Last week in a a Chicago-based report on Illinois Republican Gubernatorial candidate Bill Brady, NBC Chicago's Edward McClelland described suburban tea party events as "right-wing bloodfeasts."

This retarded over-the-top sh** works against you though when it doesn’t come true, and especially when everything the Tea Party’s are warning about does come true.

Because their view of things gets amplified and disseminated to vast majorities of the population, most of whom have never been to a Tea Party event, and who don’t know what a huge pile of dog puke this “Journalist’s” output is.

Communists “journalists” are becoming more and more desperate as they watch Americans out there bringing the dream of a communist America to a screeching halt. The journalists are writing all kinds of insane drivel in their deperate attempts to revive communism.

Never heard the term before. What the hell is a bloodfeast? Wasn’t that something in the “The Protocols of the Elders of Zion”?
Additionally, one wonders if old Eddie McClelland of Chicago’s NBC ever called an anti-war protest a “left-wing screamfeast,” or an anti-WTO rally a “left-wing commiefeast”?
One would doubt the possibility, of course.
This is the sort of underhanded rhetoric the Old Media uses in every market across the country as well as the national scene to come to the support of Democrats and to try to undermine the political right.

Let that thought settle in for a minute. Now: what action or actions are they attempting to justify in advance?
the MSM only talks to the MSM.
they only read the NYT, LATimes, and news section of the WSJ (most liberal of all). they only watch CNN and MSNBC and BBC.

Brady attended a Tea Party in Oglesby on Tuesday night. Like most of the right-wing bloodfeasts he holds south of I-80, it wasn’t reported on in the Chicago media. One of Brady’s biggest challenges as a candidate is to balance his native conservatism with a message that will sell across the entire state.
At least this dotard is semi-honest about this. This is how they promoted Blagojevich and the democrats- they simply assumed that they were the only candidates and ignored all opposition, except to occasionally label them as 'outside the mainstream fringe right wingers' or something of the sort. Not the kind of 'message' an NBC affiliate wants to help 'sell across the entire state'. From now until November it's all democrat, all the time, in the TV markets that count.
True, we have Buddhists in America; we have Hindus in America; we have Muslims in America. However, the philosophy of the Buddha contributed nothing to American laws, customs, or culture. Hinduism contributed nothing to American laws, customs, or culture. Sharia contributed nothing to American laws, customs or culture (thank God!). Like it or not, the laws, customs and culture of America are directly derived from Christianity, and ultimately from Judaism. No non-Christian culture ever came up with the idea of the equality of all people, nor with the idea that there is a Power higher than the government. When we lose that, we've lost America.
