True, we have Buddhists in America; we have Hindus in America; we have Muslims in America. However, the philosophy of the Buddha contributed nothing to American laws, customs, or culture. Hinduism contributed nothing to American laws, customs, or culture. Sharia contributed nothing to American laws, customs or culture (thank God!). Like it or not, the laws, customs and culture of America are directly derived from Christianity, and ultimately from Judaism. No non-Christian culture ever came up with the idea of the equality of all people, nor with the idea that there is a Power higher than the government. When we lose that, we've lost America.
