The United States President will spend four days of his holiday in the town with his family during August
The President of the United States, Barack Obama, his wife Michelle, and their daughters Malia and Sasha, will spend part of their summer holidays in Marbella.
In what will be his first visit to Spain as President, he will stay from August 4 8 in the luxury Villapadierna Hotel.
Before returning to the United States, Obama will travel to the Marivent Palace on Mallorca to meet with King Juan Carlos and Queen Sofia. Hes also expected to meet with the Spanish Prime Minister, José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero, at some point.
Government sources quoted by El Mundo, while failing to confirm the news, said if it were to happen it would be a clear demonstration of the excellent relations currently between Spain and the United States'.
Sooner than later, his “black base” is going to start seeing this man as a pathetic fraud that is living like a king while his “base” lives in squaller (or thinks they do, most not having seen real squaller in S Africa or Brasil).
Not bad for Chicago trash!
IN your face big time.
Seems like he is just physically fillng the position while at the same time “gettin paid”.
A chance for their “shoemaker” to get together with Shoe-shine Boy to talk Socialism...

If you happen to be in Marbella this week, you will probably already have seen the spectacular sight of what looks like a cruise liner, anchored off the Mediterranean coast. This is in fact the ´Prince Abdulaziz´, one of the largest motor yachts in the world.
With a length of 147 metres and a cruising speed of 22 knots, the yacht was built in 1984 at a cost of 184 million dollars, with features including pools, hospital, cinema, helicopter with landing pad, underwater detection system, and even a small mosque. Belonging to the Saudi royal family, the yacht was launched as ´Abdul Aziz´, but renamed later by the late King Fahd for his son.
Now owned by Fahd´s successor, King Abdullah, the yacht has been touring the Mediterranean this year, and has already been spotted off the South of France. The Saudis are currently in residence in their ***lavish compound in the hills of Marbella.*** The nearest yacht harbour of Puerto Banus, already home to several ocean-going yachts, simply cannot accommodate the size of the Prince Abdulaziz, the largest yacht built in the 20th century
Never knew how fun fun fun being President is....It’s just a never ending party....
The Saudis have a HUGE villa in Marbella...and one of the largest yachts in the entire world.
Girl had to have a break from all that gardening and puttin’ up veggies for the winter. ; )
lmao!

King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia conducts official business aboard but also uses the yacht for relaxation, notably when Prince Abdulaziz is anchored at the royal compound in Marbella, Spain. It took 15 months just to complete the interior of this massive vessel, which reigns as the largest yacht built in the 20th century.

Should you be visiting the World famous port Puerto Banus and walk past the port office´s watch tower, you will no doubt ask who own the 2 largest yachts in the port.
Lady Haya is 65 meters,designed by super star designer Terence Disdale and althought the super yacht is from 1981, it looks like a brand new yacht.The yacht is often refitted and the ship looks absolutely faboulus.At the moment you can see the royals and their friends sitting on the top deck almost every evening.The police are everywhere in and around the port.The enormous amount off wealth on display amounts to approximately 40-45million for Lady Haya And approximately 10 million for the smaller and older Shaf, both are owned by HRH Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz al-Saud and his brothers.
They also own Prince Abul Aziz, which at 147 meters values at appoximately 50million and is to long to enter the port in Puerto Banus.But have been seen on several times in the Bay of Marbella.
Other Saudi owned super yachts include Al Salamah

Hotel villa Padierna, Marbella
Marbella's international crowd gathers many tastes when it comes to building and decorating a luxury home. But when we talk about the ultimate sign of pomp and power, one should look no further than the palaces in Marbella. Here, we focus on the little empire that the Saudi Royal Family calls their home away from home.
The playground of the rich and richer has been a magnet for multicultural crowds that, along with their love for Marbella, bring new ideas for the way a luxury lifestyle should be pursued.
New architectural styles and decoration ideas allow for the progression and evolution of the mansions and villas that line the coast, but sometimes, the grandeur of a palace is enough to remember why Marbella is the pioneer location for living large.
Likely the most recognized palace in Marbella is Mar-Mar, the humble abode of the former King Fahd of Saudi Arabia, which hangs with a golden glow above a good part of the coveted Milla de Oro and only a few meters away from the mosque Abdulaziz al Saud, named after the monarchs father.
Mar-Mar is a marble and gold copy of the White House and is the only property formerly classified as Royal Palace on the Costa del Sol.
In 2002, the refurbishing of the palace ended with a final price tag of an estimated 108 million (think golden faucets and manicured garden creations). The palace, of course includes numerous swimming pools, its own mosque, a hospital and several luxury villas.
The late King Fahd's Palace, Marbella
Its fairly safe to say that Marbella notices when the King (and his entourage made of hundreds of servants, hundreds of Mercedes and bodyguards) arrives. Days in advance the palace gates are surrounded by the most distinguished crowd of international journalists intent to mark the Kings every move, not to mention gardeners, cooks, electricians and caretakers that patiently wait for a chance to serve his majesty during however long his visit may be.
The last time King Fahd visited Marbella before his death in 2005, El País reported that cleaning ladies and drivers would earn up to 3.600 a month; the bakery Goyo in downtown Marbella was producing 25 cakes and 15 trays of bonbons daily for Mar-Mar and the commercial centre El Corte Inglés a great benefactor of the royal familys visit made deliveries of hundreds of pairs of shoes and Spanish press.
These days, the kings successor and brother Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud continues to visit Marbella, almost always arriving in a private jet; his megayacht, Shaf London, waiting in the Puerto Banús harbour. His own palace in Marbella, Al-Riyad, is just a short walk away from Mar-Mar.
~~~~~
A designer who does a lot of work for the royals has a photo link of an 'Andulusian villa' .. which could very well be a palace for the royals in Marbella.
~~~~
The Saudi Royals can be seen frequently along the Golden Mile and in Puerto Banus, where they are welcomed by shopkeepers and restaurateurs due to their extravagant purchasing and generous tips.
Their yacht, the Shaf London can be seen in an area of the port reserved for large ships.
His palace is just a short walk away from King Fahds El Rocio Palace and from the Abdulaziz Al Saud mosque, which Prince Salman erected in honour of his father and where he prays every Friday. King Fahd last visited Marbella in 2002 and had a room equipped specially for him at the Costa del Sol Hospital. He died in 2005 but his widow and children continue to enjoy their holidays in the Marbella Palace.
It is believed Prince Salman will stay in Marbella until the end of August and return home for Ramadan, which starts on September 2.
~~~~
King Fahd was probably the most illustrious person to take up residence on the Spanish coast during the summer.
His death is a big blow to the local economy. The King built his own palace there - a marble and gold copy of the White House in Washington DC.
And not just a palace: the Saudi ruler's Marbella property includes two mosques, a hospital, numerous swimming-pools and several massive villas.
The King would arrive in spectacular fashion with private jets, helicopters, a fleet of Mercedes-Benz cars, several trucks full of personal belongings and van-loads of flowers to fill his palace.
Large donations
Hundreds of local people would form queues at his palace door, hoping to find lucrative employment in the King's service.
Nahda Palace
King Fahd's palace was a complex of mosques, pools and villas
Apart from hundreds employed as part of the royal entourage, thousands of others benefited indirectly.
At local bars, restaurants, jewellery shops and a sailing club, King Fahd is reported to have spent around $40,000 (32,692 euros or £22,555) per day.
The lavish spending coupled with big donations, put him on very good terms with the local authorities. In 2002, the King contributed nearly $2.5m (2.m euros or £1.4m) towards a low-cost housing project.
Did I read there will be NO photo opps ??? Yeah sure .. and we know why. God bless and protect Israel, and sink "The Audacity of Hope" Gaza renegade vessel.
Good question.
Someone who is good at it needs to put together in time sequence all the trips,vacations, expensive dates, etc. all with footage and/or pictures of him golfing at all the different spots, playing hoops, along with all the entertainment etc. Every so often have him saying we all got to make sacrifices. At the end show pictures of soldiers fighting, people out of jobs and the golf spill. The last thing on the video can be him saying he won’t rest until whatever all he has said that about. And the comment from a real guy saying “I haven’t taken a vacation since I don’t know when. Who does he think he is, king of America???.”
ANOTHER VACATION?
Yeah, that's just what I said, VanDeKoik...
They say only michelle and Sasha are going to Spain. If true, they will srill be in the company of the saudi royals.
City of Dreams
The pearl of southern Spain, Marbella, or City of Dreams as its visitors call it, is considered one of the cities where Muslim immigrants enjoy the best atmosphere of harmony and tranquility during this holy month.
Obama Vacation: White House Denies First Family Visit To Spain
The White House denied reports from Spanish media that the Obamas would take a holiday early August in the posh southern Spanish resort city of Marbella, according to the Agence France Presse.
A White House official told AFP the report by Spanish newspaper El Pais and El Mundo was incorrect.
The Obamas already have two mini-vacations planned for August: a weekend in the Gulf Coast followed by a week in Martha’s Vineyard.
