New federal regulations issued by Obama’s administration will require doctors to record their patient’s body mass index (BMI) ratio. No longer will your weight problems be a matter between you and your doctor. Thanks to Obama, now your doctor will be required by law to snitch to the feds on how fat you are.
Like most of what goes on in Washington, this new little regulation was stuck a bill otherwise wholly unconnected to healthcare, the stimulus billsection 301)
According to the government’s new HIT Standards (Health Information Technology), each patient’s BMI numbers will be recorded and must be available to the federal government on a national database exchange...

Yes, I had a women’s doctor, total Communist, grill me about guns and some other matters about two years ago. I was too in shock to think of what to say. I’m sure my attitude was noted, she kept on and on about “you keep them unloaded and locked up, REEE-YIGHT???”
We have no small ones in the house nor was I suicidal.
This quack received bad online reviews from me and I almost complained to the medical board (there were some other issues, mostly the Stalinist inappropriate questions). She’s gone out of business since. Karma....
At any rate, it was pretty horrible and I guess more of that is coming to all of us.

nope. can’t say it did/would/can’t happen or did not happen but this OLD boy has NEVER been questioned like that by anyone I have dealt with in the med. pro. believe me.....if any firearms type question was sung...they would have been told to go to you know where. none of their damn you know what.
BMI = weight * 703 / height2
The BMI calculation is invalid on its face. The weight of an object is proportional to its volume. There are no cubic factors in the formula to take into account the fact that a 3-dimensional object that is twice the height of an identical 3-dimensional object has 8 (23) times the volume, therefore should weight eight times as much.
Because of its lack of a cubic factor, BMI misclassifies very tall, skinny people as obese and very short, fat people as underweight.
How are they going to enforce this? I don’t let my doctor weigh me. They can’t make me get on the scale. All over the hospital there are signs about patient rights and that you don’t have to have any procedure you don’t want to have (to me that includes weighing).
Is the doc just going to make up a BMI? Plus, we know that BMI is a terrible gauge, since it can make football players and other athletes seem to be overweight when they aren’t. Why should I let them use a flawed standard to determine my medical care?
Like everything else Obama dreams up, this is insane.
I hope doctors defy this. This sonofabitch has gone way to far and I wish to high heaven there would be a way to constitutionally impeach this commie impostor.
I want to add one more thing overall...some say Glenn Beck is a drama..he gets emotional etc...well maybe it is time for Americans to get the same passion he demonstrates to go up against this Devil in the WH..
We need to be willing to march down that mall to the WH and make our outrage known..by the millions.

Big brother might be watching - but not when it comes to AIDS. With that disease - because liberal chosen ones get it - that disease has special privacy protections. There’s one other - but I forgot what it was - same thing - a special liberal “chosen” group...
They dropped that whole “Keep your laws off my body” slogan a while back it seems. I guess that’s not a right anymore for some reason. Don’t know what changed for them!
