If you were in the presence of a man having a heart attack, how would you respond? As he clutched his chest in desperation and pain, would you call 911? Would you try to save him from dying? Of course you would.

But if that man was Rush Limbaugh, and you were Sarah Spitz, a producer for National Public Radio, that isn’t what you’d do at all.

In a post to the list-serv Journolist, an online meeting place for liberal journalists, Spitz wrote that she would “Laugh loudly like a maniac and watch his eyes bug out” as Limbaugh writhed in torment.

I am sure they have some of the same people. I really want to know which people from Obama’s WH were a part of the JournoList. You know that with the arrogance of liberals and the extreme arrogance of the Obama crew there had to be some from the WH on the list.

I agree. I think there is a blurry line between some segments of liberalism and libertarianism (FWIW, the libertarianism of Glenn Reynolds [Instapundit] seems nothing like the libertarianism of someone like Austin’s Jeff Ward-KLBJ radio talker).

If there is a symmetry to Balko’s writing and what was being discussed on JournoList, you can bet he was a part of that conversation.

I watched a TV program yesterday about Charles Manson. It showed exactly how he controlled his followers—even from his jail cell. Not true. Combined, the audience for network TV news is now less than 30 million per day. Not even 10% of the U.S. watches them. Hence, not most of America.

Beg to differ. Let me qualify.

LOCAL NEWS programs, the majority of which are affiliates of ABC, NBC, CBS, which are affiliates of the mainstream network news, is where most Americans gets theier news. LOCAL NEWS reports locally, nationally, and internationally. Combine local news, with nightly network, and we have a winner.

Hence, most of America still watches mainstream network news reports. Is the better?
