I so wish I could get my hands of an autograph of Ronald Reagans.

That would be very cool. Have you tried eBay?

No, I am pretty leery about purchasing autographs on ebay.

Most of the autographs I have bought have been through people who can authenticate their products.

There actually is a magazine specializing in autograph and photos of famous people.

One of the weirdest autographs I got was one by Emerson. Actually it was a letter of recommendation of his nephew to Harvard.

I snapped it up for under 100 pounds.

The reason I wanted it so bad, was because the letter was addressed to then Harvard divinity professor Henry Ware, one of my ancestors.

I’m impressed. We have a few pieces of sports memorabilia that is signed and authenticated, but nothing on the level of what you have amassed. The Emerson letter sounds particularly interesting, because of the familial connection. I’ve also been to his house in Concord.

I just recently saw the Belorussian movie, “Come and See”, IMHO it is the most powerful and terrifying war movie ever made. There are images in that film that will never leave you.

and now for some french movies

I just watched the french version of "Beauty and the Beast" (1946). Wow! Wonderful special effects for the time. It was made before I was born. I prefer it to the Disney version.

Watch, “Come and See” from Belarus, 2004...? Not very famous, but...unforgettable. You will agree. WOW.

"Come and See" (Idi I Smotri) was actually made in 1986.

Been a long time since I saw a film that impacted me as much as this. I can't recommend it enough, but definitely not for the faint of heart.

Do you two have any paintings, photos or other objets d’art in your homes? If you do, why if you are bored by seeing something more than once?
