We need to deport or imprison ALL illegal aliens, including their so-called anchor babies, seal/secure the border and SHOOT anyone who tries to re-enter illegally. We put people on the moon;we can do this.

Responding just to the headline, not the article, or the site I couldn’t help but think “what isn’t a dark side about illegal immigration?”
gun turrets on 100’ towers every 300 yards that are controlled by motion sensors to shoot anything that moves should do the trick...
It would probably take about 2 days for the word to spread and shut down all ativity on the border...
That would work.Probably wouldn’t be that expensive either. Back it up with a live troop presence and armed Drones. I want every illegal alien out of my country and a leadership team in Washington with the balls to keep them out.
Why so few in NM?
Another scenario:
BO declares war on Mexico - Mexico agrees to go to war. Future date of hostilities to be announced by both parties.
All incoming immigrants are then considered REFUGEES and allowed entry.
Do you really think gunning down some 20 year old Guatemalan girl clutching her infant daughter is going to get any public support?
You don't need to resort to anything near that.
Simply task ICE to enforce our workplace laws. Once the criminals who are hiring them get hit with fines of $100,000 or more, they'll realize that employing illegals isn't as good a business practice as they once thought.
When the jobs dry up, so does the incentive to stay and the vast majority will deport themselves. Use the revenue generated from the civil penalties to build a double fence along the border and patrol that with existing border patrol.
NOW, once you've heavily de-incentivised the idea of crossing the border illegally to find work, you can operate under the assumption that anyone sneaking across presents a serious threat. You don't need gun turrets, just patrol a defined area with UAVs and blast anything in suspicious.
Wondered the same thing; why so few in NM?
New Mexico has illegals, but the state generally is low in population. They have one maybe two area codes for the phones.
Why stop with the employers of illegals? Consider all who benefit from illegals? For instance:
Schools that fill their roles to get more govmint money
Latin American Countries who receive influx of money from illegals here in the U.S.
Illegals themselves
Some churches
Others?
The idea is to turn their assets into liabilities as you suggest. Make them feel the pain. End result is self deportation.
Sounds like a plan - makes sense, workable. Good luck getting that to fly! Although maybe there is a spark of hope...
Well... it is the GOV, and the FED GOV at that, so you're right - it'll never happen.

Gotta love the GOV.
Mostly because our wages are very low compared to other states they can easily get to, so most of the illegals just pass through here going elsewhere.
Another little known fact is how many citizen Hispanics here don’t treat illegals well. Many of our Hispanics are actually Spanish descent and feel no ties to Mexico. The ones that do still look down on illegals. That is why Richardson will declare the border a disaster and call in National Guard while at the same time be promoting amnesty and taking sides with Mexican governors against Arizona. Richardson has to walk a fine line between those that support Mexico and those that don’t. He is really quite good at it and I can’t wait until he is gone...thankfully we don’t have long to wait now to be rid of his sorry...well you know what I mean. I just hope this state is not ignorant enough to elect Dinish- she will carry on Richardsons fence straddling on the border.
