My husband and I are Cub Scout leaders and we live in one of the reddest counties in one of the reddest states. We have what would easily be described as so-called “good” government schools.

If you love teaching and love these kids work with other conservatives to shut these Marxist madrasses down and open private conservative schools.

I am going to say, judging by your LMAO, that you don’t believe me. Tough sh** as the saying goes, because I told the truth and have mentioned it on other threads. My favorite reading at 5 were old scfi books, from the 30s and 40s. The librarian used to try to keep me from checking them out because she said they were over my head, but they weren’t. Dick and Jane however were boring beyond belief!

Actually, 140 and up is considered genius level. It makes me laugh because mine is up there too and I certainly don’t feel like a genius. And I make spelling and typing mistakes as well.... ;-)
In Junior High back in the early 60’s, our school had a very popular American History teacher. The problem was any student with conservative values that expressed them was berated. That brought my Mother to the school for a conference in defense of her son.
A few years later I had the same teacher my brother had. Since I was shy, I did express my views but one boy was like my brother. He was laughed at by his peers when the teacher countered his views.

Me, too. And my IQ is only 136.
IQ doesn’t matter after about age 20 or so....maybe earlier. It is a product of certain exams. I believe it measures potential.
I was 11 during the Sherman Adams, vicuna coat scandal. I used to watch the TV hearings after school until my kid brother whined enough that I switched to Huckleberry Hound.
My family were FDR Democrats with a government job. Needless to say, they were certain I was going to get my father in some sort of political trouble.
I did my time on the Left and learned to loathe them. I can only imagine what it must be like to encounter their crap every single day in school, on TV and from your peers, as well as family.
It is more than possible for bright children to read at an adult level and comprehend basic political dissonances at a very early age.
True that, your statements! I wish I could go back in time and try to convert more of my friends to conservatives, but that time is passed!
I was reading Heinlein and Fred Brown at age 7. My mother had conniptions. My father said, if she can read it and tell me about it with a degree of comprehension, she has the right to read it herself. And he always explained why discretion was the better part of valor when out in the world, even though it was a mostly conservative world, back then.
They were wonderfully subversive writers, weren’t they? Libertarians before anyone even wrote down the word.
