...In oral arguments for Citizens United, the Deputy Solicitor General argued that under current law, the government believed it had the power to ban any publication that included the functional equivalent of express advocacy. This prohibition, the government stated, extended to pamphlets, movies and even books. In her nomination hearing, Kagan seemed to show no remorse over her role as the arbiter of that opinion...

How does the far left get away with its pose of protector of free speech? That isn't what they want or believe in; they want freedom of speech for their viewpoints. Anyone else had better shut up.
Most conservatives (like me) are also classical liberals, trying to conserve the liberties and rights that allow us to be a lawful, fair society. The term "liberal" was stolen when the term "progressive" became too closely (and justifiably) associated with socialists and communists.
I want no part of paradise with censored and banned books and ideas. Who do these people think they are that they can tell the rest of us what to think, what we may read, what we may see? I want them out of my books, my online access, my light sockets and my flush toilet.
