1. Further confirmation that he did vote for BO.
2. Further proof they were stupid to have the interview in the first place.

That's interesting.

Is there a possibility that Mcchrystal can sue ROLLING STONE -- perhaps bankrupting them???

A pox on all their houses, McChrystal, Rolling Stone and Obama.

So, Rolling Stone F’d Obama?
How ironic...
Now “The One!” is forced to turn to Bush’s Lib-hated General to pull his a** out of the fire.

That’s just GOT to be sending the hate-filled leftists in to orbit.

The RS did the troops a favor by dumping this Wesley Clark clone.

Here are the rules.

There are no rules . If they have been given sensitive information prosecute the lame who gave it to them .

I say mind-boggling because if McChrystal’s staff had come out with this in the first few hours of the furore on Tuesday morning then the entire narrative of the week would have changed and the general might very well still be in his job today.

Yeah right--insults off the record don't matter

And BTW I think the American public has a right to know what the military from the generals down to the Pfcs think about those that send them to war

So, his mistake is he expected a snake not to act like a snake. Fatal error.

I think this was McChrystal’s way of getting out of Afghanistan, where Obama’s rules of engagement make our military presence a losing proposition.

I find it highly interesting that a soldier with the bonafides of McChrystal would be so naive about a left-wing rag such as Rollingstoned. Rollingstoned has been out to get the military since its inception. They are undoubtedly anti anything the military does and for that matter anything that is not extremely leftist oriented. Their views of capitalism assuredly match the views of The Nation and all the other extreme leftist nutty rags. Why the general thought he could trust the leftist nutjobs at RS is unfathomable.

If they didn’t, think about what this means: the Obama administration accepts the word of a counter-culture magazine and doesn’t even bother to check with the four-star general commanding 100,000 troops in wartime whose career the magazine is seeking to destroy.

With this President, it wouldn't surprise me ONE bit!

Sorry if I offend, but McChrystal is a dipsh*t.

He voted for Obama, poured out his heart to Rolling Stone, and believed he would get favorable treatment from them?

Good Lord, if we have people this naive running the show in Afghanistan, we are doomed.

The last time Rolling Stone could have been called a "counter-culture" magazine was sometime in the early '70s. It's very much a mainstream liberal establishment rag now, and it's aims are shared with all the others - and that is to bring about an American retreat from Afghanistan.

On the record or off, McChrystal's people were big-mouthed fools.

I’ve heard so many commentators wonder about why the General allowed this guy around him and didn’t realize that he was a leftist who would sand bag him.

If McCrystal is a social liberal as everyone says, he probably thought that gave him some sort of immunity from attach by the left.

Stanley, Mon General, they eat their own all the time if it fits into their worldview and political program.

Too late now , uindeer the bus he goes. This is abhorrent; but my major question is why o why would the CO take an interview from a bunch of leftie dopers in the first place?
