Get Paid to Trash Right
Deborah Lambert, June 25, 2010
While conservatives are fighting an uphill battle on most liberal American campuses these days, their beleaguered minority status is still a threat to some well entrenched interest groups.
One project, launched by Peter Dreier, a distinguished professor of politics at Occidental College along with Nelson Lichtenstein, a U.C. Santa Barbara 20th century historian, plans to pay for academic research that can service in the battle with conservative ideas, says author John Leo.
Known as the Cry Wolf project, it is sponsored by the Center on Policy Initiatives, and will offer 50 cents a word to academics who submit information showing how conservatives control the political narratives by predicting disaster if progressive policies are pursued....

“While conservatives are fighting an uphill battle in liberal American colleges today...”
In my experience, those “conservative” academics are likely to be either “moderates” or “libertarians”. Social conservatism has been dead in academe for decades.
Sounds like the recruiting slogan for "journalism" programs at most major U.S. universities.
The self-anointed superior Left, after failing to force their utopia on the U.S. with protests and drugs, decided the way to bring about their revolution was from within.
They developed what is called "Revolution by search committee". IOW, those doing the hiring would place higher priority on having acceptable political views than anything else.
Barack Obama is their prize spawn.
The slime behind this current effort are faithful tools of the process.
I am an avid amateur historian and I would have a simple question to ask these professional historians; "Please provide me with a SINGLE EXAMPLE where your precious PROGRESSIVE policies worked for even as short a time as a decade?" Whereas, here in the USofA, we have had a rip-roaring success for 2 centuries (1787-1987) with a government structure based upon a constitution that emphasized personal liberties and restricted government.
It has been recent history when the Executive, Legislature and Judiciary have seemed to cooperatively crushed the idea of limited government and traded our individual liberties for a kind of collectivist security. This is what these Academics want to continue with their wide-eyed eagerness for that which glitters and is 'new'. Stink, stank stunk, remember that fools gold actually out glitters real gold but is merely a decorative form of iron!
Propaganda does.
Read this.
Cheers!
