Obama Is Wrong; Alternative Energy is Not an Alternative

Obama is using the oil spill in the Gulf as an emotional lever to push his cap and trade policy. The spill is a disaster, but exploiting it is truly despicable.
It is made far worse when the alternative energies solutions dont work. Increased costs will damage the economy and negatively impact the people he claims to represent. Were in this predicament because of exploitation by politicians and environmental groups who deliberately ignore scientific evidence and corruption in climate science. Options were dramatically reduced by campaigns of fear against nuclear power creating legislation so that it now takes up to 14 years to construct a nuclear power plant.
Obamas Cap and Trade will increase the cost of oil, coal and natural gas sufficient to make the US economy uncompetitive. This will reduce the possibility of paying off the massive debt he has incurred.

The pattern seems to support the argument that all his actions are designed to cripple the US economy. A political motive is the only explanation for such illogic.

All the wind and solar energy will not give the country the energy it needs. For the time being, we need more nuclear plants and a conserted effort to develop Nano Technology if we want to get off oil...........someday.

Exactly, take electric vehicles. Lets say we converted every auto in the US to electric tomorrow.
Does anybody honestly believe the country has enough capacity to supply the electrical "ENERGY" needed? PLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEASE.
There would be brown outs everywhere. We would need over 100 NEW nuclear plants.

Nuclear? But in Pres_ _ent Obama’s “energy” speech,
the following was “discussed”
Energy production by Fusion - mentioned zero times.
Energy production by Nuclear - mentioned zero times.
TheONE had “I” mentioned 22 times.

Alternative energy is mostly fraud.
Inefficient generation at several times the cost of conventional
proven power sources can't possibly work
But they keep trying to sell the fraud through total deception. Wind and solar could provide minuscule percentages of power, IF THEY COULD DELIVER IT 24/7 LIKE THE TRADITIONAL METHODS.
Bottom line? The claim of real contribution is exaggerated by a factor of between 4 and 10.
What Alternative Power?

"Free Power" = "Everybody Else" pays for it through government "subsidies" that the productive who actually work pay in taxes, or through "tax credits" for parasite who actually pay NO income taxes.
Uh huh.
There's a solution only a retard politician woud embrace.

This issue that windmills and solar will NEVER EVER overcome is the need to have baseline generators that can work when the sun don't shine and the wind don't blow.
This is why these alternate sources will NEVER EVER replace baseline plants.
Therefore, they are NOT replacements but only supplemental to the nation's electric grid. AND they do nothing for mobile transportation.

Imagine if Obama responded to a disastrous airline crash the way he is doing for this spill. First he would ground all airlines until some blue ribbon panel ascertained the cause of the crash. Second, he would impose new taxes and fees on the airlines to promote “safety”. Lastly he would say we have become too dependent on air travel and should look at alternatives means of transport like clean electric trains and biofuel powered buses.

Voter#537 never said that the need to drill for oil would be eliminated. The comment addressed only the energy aspects of replacing oil, not any related petroleum products.
