It's amazing how politicians feel they can only be elected by feigning conservative views and tendencies, but once elected, rebound to the Liberal side of the aisle. Take Sen. John McCain as just one of many examples. He was recently queried at a town hall meeting in Yuma, Arizona about his alleged Conservative philosophy. In typical McCain fashion, he apparently became quite animated and defensive over questions related to the differences between his claims (about being a Conservative) and his more liberal voting record. As a voter, it's disappointing to be duped by a politician who you later discover is not what he (or she) billed themselves to be. Sadly, people keep re-electing these clowns. There ought to be a way to truly discover a prospective politician's true political views and tendencies so voters can be better informed about who we're voting for.
He gets really snippy when you ask him about his record...
Please go away McCain!....I thank you for your service but please.....Do us and yourself a favor!
I just hope the voters in AZ get really snippy at him for always saying one thing to get voted into office and then turning traitor once he is back in D.C.
American Conservative Union lifetime rating for McCain = 82%. How is this a "more liberal voting record?"
McCain - You Lie just like Obama.
“There ought to be a way to truly discover a prospective politician’s true political views and tendencies so voters can be better informed about who we’re voting for.”
ANYONE who doesn’t know of McCain’s flip flop/campaign conversion record doesn’t want to know!
FLUSH THE JOHN!
(to the tune of Frankie & Johnny)
Johnny and Teddy were Senators
On opposite sides of the aisle
They got together and drafted a bill
Guaranteed to make illegals smile
Amnesty was their game and they had no shame
Johnny and Senator Feingold
Gave campaign finance a try
But then the highest court in the land
Said the 1st amendment must apply
Gotta play by the rules now Johnny looks like a fool
Johnny and Mr. Obama
They both agree Gitmo should close
But bringing terrorists into the USA
Is a plan that we oppose
No, they dont belong and Johnnys got it all wrong
Now Johnny and Senator Lieberman
Got together on cap and trade
Anemic hands across the aisle
Gonna send the country to its grave
Its time to let him know old Johnnys gotta go
Johnny believes Global Warming
Limousine Liberals and all
Congressional junkets to Copenhagen
Everybodys havin a ball
Just ask Al Gore - Johnny knows the score
S & L Man Charlie Keating
He came to Johnny one day
Said the government boys are sniffing around
How much to make em go away?
Did Johnny take a bribe to join the Keating 5?
Now fast-forward 20 years later
Banks are in trouble again
Johnny says, Lets bail em out
Its just a trillion or maybe ten.
Lets put some wind in their sails cause theyre too big to fail.
We know theres oil in Alaska
Drilling wont cause any harm
But Johnny agrees with the tree-hugging geeks
Gas is gonna cost a leg and an arm
Johnny why cant you see whats good for you and me?
Now everyone knows about ACORN
They get lots of taxpayers dough
Prostitution rings and voter fraud
And home loans to any old schmoe
No matter ACORNs crimes Johnny thinks theyre just fine
Were tired of hearin your flip-flops
Were tired of hearin your lies
You may think were all dummies but you cant
Pull the wool over our eyes
Youre careers hit a snag - so start packin your bags
Cause Johnny, youve worn out your welcome
Its time to bid DC goodbye
Go write a book or learn to cook
And eat a little humble pie
Just ask Sheriff Joe he says you gotta go
Yeah, go Johnny, go its time to hit the road.
Good-bye

The article’s a little out of date. The ACU’s ratings are now current up through 2009 including a 96 in 2009 relevent to his votes on Obama’s agenda and before he knew Hayworth would be in the race. McCain’s been fearless in his opposition to Obama’s far left extremism. I see him on the political talk shows frequently and he’s been stellar...and again that started long before Hayworth was known to be pondering a primary challenge.
Spare me the “American Conservative Union” BS! That org is nothing more than a “inside-the-beltway” Kiss-Ass outfit.
And the people calling McCain a “liberal” have no agenda? Sorry, but the ACU is hardly “inside the beltway.” They call it like it is.
Call it what you like, anything McCain’s involved in is `spinach’ and I say to hell with it.
Trying to paint Juan as a conservative is like trying to putting socks on a rooster (or pouring warm butter in a wildcat’s ear, in a phone booth)—he doesn’t like it, it’s nearly impossible to do and it’s an unnatural act.
Nice try though, McCainiac/Noobian Princess.
Huh? Could you calm down a little and perhaps try making sense?
” McCains been fearless in his opposition to Obamas far left extremism. I see him on the political talk shows frequently and hes been stellar...and again that started long before Hayworth was known to be pondering a primary challenge.
“
Balderdash. You see him on TV because HE is the liberal choice of the liberal media.
And opposition to Obama....like his silly statements during the campaign...’he’ll make a fine president’, etc.
ANYONE supporting or defending McCain is corrupt or ignorant. You decide which.
I’ll ... type ... real ... slow ... if ... you ... like.
That’s great!! It nails the slug.
Juan has been around since the dinosaurs. Anything he is claiming now is get me elected BS. If he wins he will be back as the aisle crossing backstabber he always is.
He and Linseed will be in harmony. How sweet.
No, just type a sentence that’s not full of rambling nonsense and I’ll get you just fine.
Stay angry & sassy, MissesBush! Stick around and you’ll get an education .....
The resort of the substanceless---personal insults. Sad. I thought this was America where political disagreements were celebrated and considered part of a healthy republic, not demonized and slandered.
As for McCain being on "liberal networks," I see him on Fox News quite a bit including Hannity's show. And if he's pounding on Obama's agenda on the liberal networks, I call that taking the fight to the enemy. That's a good thing.
