A detailed commentary from the Great One! Hannity also has a great monologue concerning Rush's wedding on his show earlier today! I did not know that Rush and Elton John had kept up a regular email communication for quite some time.
I am not homophobic. However I believe the homosexual lifestyle to be self-destructive and destructive to society as a whole. As a Christian I am called to love all people with a serving attitude. Christian love is not a feeling, it is an act of the will. This kind of love demands that I not encourage homosexuals to continue killing themselves with their habits.
He posted in the “Bloggers & Pesonal” forum. I suggest you mind your own business.
I would suggest the same to you.
Pesonal?
Great. A spelling flamer and an FR nanny (franny?) on the same thread.
“Hate the sin, love the sinner”?
More like don’t persecute, only prosecute. Witch trials were stupid years ago and they are stupid now.
Can’t have everything...............
If they were friends you’d think he’d charge less than a million.
What’s a homophobe? Elton John is a creepy amoral homosexual, regardless of how talented he is. I don’t hate the guy, I just wouldn’t want to spend any time with him and I certainly wouldn’t give him a place of prominence in the most important event of my life. You can tell a person by the company they keep. I think Rush has become a bit too infatuated with his celebrity status and it’s starting to show in some of the personal decisions he has made. I’ve been a ditto-head since about 1990, but I sincerely think that Rush has started to undermine his own credibility.
” I think Rush has become a bit too infatuated with his celebrity status and its starting to show in some of the personal decisions he has made.”
Then you don’t know Rush. Been listening since 1990, I don’t believe it. Rush has rubbed elbows with the rich and famous and talked about it the entire time and now claim he has “changed”?
You can believe what you wish. I used to get Rush on the Buffalo radio stations when I lived in Toronto. Have his books and subscribed to his newsletter. You’re falling into the trap of blind loyalty to a conservative icon. If we don’t recognize the faults of our own people and don’t take them to account when they go astray, it feeds their sense of entitlement and invincibility. Rush has done wonderful things for conservatism, but he’s risking what he’s built through a series of poor personal decisions. Oxycontin, four marriages, Elton John. Being a conservative means more than just bashing the Dems. At some point Rush has to walk the walk, not just talk the talk.
And you are perfect. Bet not.
