” I think Rush has become a bit too infatuated with his celebrity status and its starting to show in some of the personal decisions he has made.”
Then you don’t know Rush. Been listening since 1990, I don’t believe it. Rush has rubbed elbows with the rich and famous and talked about it the entire time and now claim he has “changed”?
You can believe what you wish. I used to get Rush on the Buffalo radio stations when I lived in Toronto. Have his books and subscribed to his newsletter. You’re falling into the trap of blind loyalty to a conservative icon. If we don’t recognize the faults of our own people and don’t take them to account when they go astray, it feeds their sense of entitlement and invincibility. Rush has done wonderful things for conservatism, but he’s risking what he’s built through a series of poor personal decisions. Oxycontin, four marriages, Elton John. Being a conservative means more than just bashing the Dems. At some point Rush has to walk the walk, not just talk the talk.
