BP CEO Tony Hayward and President Obama dont talk to each other which is strange on many levels. However it looks like their speech writers collaborate because both leaders in the Gulf spill disaster sound like they spend hours together making their story straight. Lets compare the messages coming from BP and the White house:
Weve helped organize the largest environmental response in this countrys history. More than 2 million feet of boom, 30 planes, and over 1,300 boats are working to protect the shoreline. Where oil reaches the shore, thousands of people are ready to clean it up. - BP CEO Tony Hayward
More than 20,000 people are currently working around the clock to protect waters and coastlines... More than 1,900 vessels are in the Gulf assisting in the clean up. More than 4.3 million feet of boom have been deployed with another 2.9 million feet of boom available... - President Obama
Mr. President, if you and BP count your booms and vessels together it is likely you are in this mess together. In fact we all are in it.
The people on the ground and at sea whether they are the Coast Guard, the National Guard, the BP crews and contractors, local officials and volunteers are trying their best to coordinate their efforts for the better outcome.
How hard is it for President Obama to act like a leader who unites people and inspires them to join together?
How about a joint press-conference with the CEO pinhead of BP?
The BP folks are not college students that need scolding from a professor. The whole world is watching the impressive technology the oil industry created so they can go where no government bureaucrats are able to go.

six and half-dozen
BTW - the law specifically points to oil spills!
That's one of the most "common sense" laws.
The Feds should have been focused on containment and protecting the beaches from day one...but
The Obama Administration has been asleep at the wheel! If it isn't on the agenda list, they are clueless!
May be this is why they want to change the wording to “oil leak” :)- to avoid the oil spill law
Obama sees himself as a Dear Leader who is in charge of everybody’s business. He got used to firing GM and bank executives and just can’t stop himself.
If Obama nationalizes BP - we are doomed to turn into Venezuela.
Feds want all your land and water - unless there is problem on it - then it is all your problem.
He doesn't know how to do that. It always has to be all about HIM.
