Has Obama declared a state of emergency for Louisiana?

I've been looking for mention of Obama having declared a Federal state of emergency for Louisiana.

I've read that particular parishes and the state of Louisiana have declared states of emergency, but can't find any mention of Obama releasing federal funds to Louisiana.

Bush released funds two days before Katrina struck.

I don’t know about Louisiana’s state of emergency, but I’m declaring a state of emergency for America, freedom and Western civilization until 2012 and ObaMao, Obammy, Ozero, Obozo, Obuma and the rest of the Dim Dhim socialists/commies/traitors, etc. are all thrown out of office and America is restrored to a constitutional republic instead of an ACORN/Community Organized dictatorship.

Until then, a state of emergency exists.

Obama is going to try to take over BP for his friends in Iran?

Profiting From Iran, and the U.S.
The New York Times identified 74 corporations that have done business both in Iran and with the United States government over the last decade, using corporate records filed with the Securities Exchange Commission, company Web sites, news accounts confirmed by interviews with company officials, and Congressional reports.

Obama doesn't care about Texas, Louisiana, Alabama, Mississippi. He laughs at them.

Obama only cares about the places that voted for him, Florida and Mexico.

I believe the Governor declares it, and the Prez appropriates funds. What I’m wondering is, why is the term “FEMA” suddenly nonexistent?

You know I don’t think one has been called yet.

Give it another month or two.

That’s a good question, considering FEMA’s routine participation in the multi-agency “Spill Of National Significance” exercises. I’ll bet that under the Stafford Act, even a large oil spill does not fit the definition of “disaster” that allows FEMA to jump in with both feet.

If this is not a national emergency than the President along with the media is sensationalizing it. Additionally, Americans along with environmentalists should STFU and move on. Next.

He did that by April 29.

Declaring it a federal emergency gives BP an out on how much they are actually responsible to clean up.

Louisiana has already declared a state of emergency (by April 29) so I guess they are taking action already, instead of waiting for BP.

I thought that Declaring a Federal Emergency for Louisiana would RELEASE MONEY TO LOUISIANA. Then Louisiana could do a better job at what it is already doing.

Criminally negligent.

I agree.

When the federal government decided to shoulder the responsibility to regulate gulf drilling, they shouldered the responsibility to make sure to protect the people affected by the drilling.

I say, protect the people, then recoup the money from BP..
