GULF OF MEXICO -- Speaking through a BP interpreter at a press conference today, the spill gushing millions of gallons of oil into the Gulf of Mexico defiantly told pResident Barack Obama to plug his own damn hole. “The federal government hasn't a damned thing to do with shutting me down, and, frankly, if they did, they'd screw it up so badly I'd probably be much worse, no doubt fouling the Gulf, Atlantic, and Pacific simultaneously,” the oil spill said.

Rep. Gene Taylor (D Miss) said yesterday they would pass legislation that would prevent this from EVER happening again. He didn’t give any details on just how this law would prevent mechanical breakdown or human stupidity or even sabotage. But I feel a lot better now.
I heard on Mark Davis this morning that a Saudi leak in the Persian Gulf was handled by super tankers sucking up all the oil/sea water until the leak was contained. Supposedly, this leak was 70x greater than the Gulf of Mexico leak. It was kept quiet until recently (it occurred in 1993). They were able to salvage 85% of the oil. No problems with beaches, marshes, etc. It’s not too late to implement that now. Also, why hasn’t Nobama helped more with containment (more booms, building berms, etc)?
Soon it will be renamed the Obama Memorial Tar Pit.

I had heard about the Saudi leak over the weekend. This sounds like a reasonable approach...what the heck is preventing them from doing this???? Governmental red tape???

Federal government and BP must lacks common sense. This has been talked about of and on for weeks. That had an oil recovery pipe that supposedly sucked up 900k gallons of oil. Not efficient enought so that shut it down.

I think a lot of people are missing the point with how the administration is handling the situation.
They DON’T WANT IT TO STOP. They don’t want it fixed. They want it broken. Broken means “They were right!”
A healthy fossil fuel delivery system proves them wrong. They would rather the earth burn than to be proven wrong.

Obama has two of the stupidest people ever to serve in the cabinet, Salazar and Janet Napolitano, down there doing nothing except making stupid statements and getting in the way. Plus the EPA is refusing to let the adults do things that might save the wetlands while they do studies.
The nation’s largest wetlands area is being destroyed while bureaucrats do studies. If I were Gov. Jindal I’d tell Obama, the EPA and anyone else who was in the way to stick it up their poop shoots and I’d build the sandbars, contract for supertankers to scoop up oil and anything else that might work.
Let the feds charge him with something. No jury in LA would convict him. Hell, I’ll bet the people wouldn’t let the feds arrest him.
Yep and send the bill to Odummy. Why does Jindal wait he could put his name at the top of the list for 2012 by saving LA.
