I firmly believe that this situation in the Gulf is being allowed to fester and grow precisely because Obamalamadingdong believes it will give him a reason to nationalize oil companies that are, for whatever reason, still based here in the USA. Whether or not it will work is another matter entirely. As of today Obamalamadingdong's efforts (or lack thereof) has or is in the process of turning his own base against him. He knows it, too. You can see it in his frustration at questions he got in his presser last week from people like Jake Tapper, or from comments by Chrissy "Thrill up my leg" Matthews, both of whom used to carry Obamalamadingdong's water.

No, but Exxon-Mobil, Conoco-Phillips, and several others are American companies, at least for the time being. Exxon does the overwhelming majority of their business outside the USA. Add the threat of an Obamalamadingdong/gubmint take over and Houston is going to see a huge increase in unemployment......
The leak is going to be increased by 20% in the next stage, and so far the Regime has done nothing whatsoever to seriously aggregate, collect and remove the oil from the surface. It's like they thought it'd just pinch itself off or something.

It's not the property Obamalamadingdong is after. It's the collection of expertise it takes to make the oil flow and the money generated by receipts from the oil flowing out of the hole in the property the oil companies drill. Remember, it's the Chicago way......and, as always, follow the money......

A Marxist through and through, or at least whoever the people pulling Obamalamadingdong's strings are. Obamalamadingdong appears more and more to be somebody's sock puppet. It's pretty clear that all available resources are not being brought to bear to stop this leak. Not even close. The gubmint's response, both before the spill and after, has been a complete joke and the people of Louisiana know it because they're seeing it with their own eyes. The criticisms leveled by Bobby Jindal and the President of Plaquemines Parish tell what is really going on down there. The tepid response by our gubmint tells me that Obamalamadingdong and his minions want this mess for a reason. Given the history of Obamalamadingdong and his dealings with various business interests over the past 16 months, that reason is to nationalize. Never let a crisis go to waste, right? It's going to backfire big time, though. When that oil starts coming ashore in earnest it's going to be far and away more than Obamalamadingdong ever bargained for. If, as a result, they make the USA any more hostile to business than it already is, especially international businesses like the oil industry, those companies will just leave and go where the business climate is more favorable. When that happens, hello $8/gallon gasoline. Having been a business owner for over 20 years I find it hard to believe that the oil companies like Exxon and Conoco are still here to begin with.....
