Need contacts of organizations who provide financial assistance to the victims of Nov 5th please.

Police Sgt. Kim Munley ("hope2forget30" on Twitter) was the one who took down Nidal Malik Hasan during the Ft. Hood massacre, and was severely injured in doing so. She has had to have several surgeries, including total knee replacement and suffered a lot of pain because of her bravery in dealing with that loser.

In case you don't remember her (yeah, the MSM has focused sooooooo much on the heroes of Ft. Hood TERRORIST attack on American soil!) here's some articles about her from that time:

Don't know if Sgt. Munley is asking for herself, or someone else involved in the Ft. Hood massacre. Perhaps her injuries were so grievous she is disabled for life, and her insurance doesn't cover that--or maybe someone else just needs some help getting back on their feet after that day, and she's trying to help *them*. I really don't know for sure. You can contact her Twitter account if you are interested in leaving suggestions for her.

I am reposting this because I know FReepers love true heroes--and she's one for sure. Hopefully someone CAN offer a name or two for her to contact for help.

And I know that FReepers will NEVER forget Sgt. Kim Munley's sacrifices for the soldiers of Ft. Hood. If you can help her out, it would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

She should be covered by active duty care or the VA if she is out of the military.

"Major Nidal Malik Hasan, who allegedly killed 11 people [count now 13, or 14 if you include the unborn child of the 21-year-old female soldier -etl] before being shot and wounded by police at Fort Hood, had said Muslims should "rise up" and attack Americans in retaliation for the US war in Iraq, a former army colleague said."

"He said Muslims should stand up and fight the aggressor and that we should not be in the war in the first place." He said that Major Hasan said he was "happy" when a US soldier was killed in an attack on a military recruitment centre in Arkansas in June. An American convert to Islam was accused of the shootings.

Col Lee alleged that other officers had told him that Major Hasan had said "maybe people should strap bombs on themselves and go to Times Square" in New York."

She should be fully covered for her injuries and surgeries/therapies, etc.

Maybe she doesn’t know who to actually contact for that sort of help? I don’t know. Where DO you find that information?

Well, I paused for a minute there and just did a google search for her request. Came back with several organizations that offered financial aid/help for victims/families of Ft. Hood shootings. Just Tweeted that info to Sgt. Munley...didn’t have the names of the contacts though.

Are you a member of Twitter? If not, you are ‘locked out’. I have been following Sgt. Munley on Twitter and her blog since I saw a reference to them in news articles after the shootings. I have no doubt that she’s the one writing both.

Like I said, I don’t know if she’s covered for LIFETIME disability. Maybe someone in her family has to help take care of her and her children and also needs financial aid to do so. Maybe a friend who was injured in the shootings needed help and asked her to tweet a question for contacts.

She’s never asked for money or donations, if that’s what you are implying. Just contacts in organizations that help the victims of this massacre. Don’t know why that’s triggering ‘red flags’ for some of you.

I would instantly support Munley if she is truely abandoned by the govt, but you offer no explaination why she needs assistance.

Did Obama declare this OFFICIALLY a terrorist act? Or just ‘man-made mischief’ or whatever that stupid phrase was? If not, maybe she hasn’t been able to get the financial aid she needs, I’m just guessing here...she WAS shot in both legs and her wrist, and needed total knee replacement (s?)—I hope it didn’t disable her for life, but perhaps it did, and her insurance didn’t cover lifetime disability financial aid. I really have no idea how this stuff works. Just hoped to find a FReeper or two who could say, “Oh, yeah, Joe Smith down in Austin can help her find the info she needs!” or whatever.

Although as a stay at home mom with two toddlers who keep me busy most every day, I really could use some ‘professional help’, LOL. ;-) Especially in the housecleaning department!
