What’s strange is that the overwhelming majority of those who are supposed to be experts on these things are singing very similar tunes.
The experts are, as an historical fact, usually wrong. The here and now I am as pessimistic as everyone else. There is no positive support. Still like to be wrong.
We’re renting a truck and hauling all our stuff to our place in Kentucky the last week of June. We’ll fly back to Seattle and live in a tiny 1 bedroom condo with our old mattress and box springs on the floor and the 32” tv and a chair and couch we will dump on CL when we make the final move which, hopefully, will follow in the next couple of months. We’ll take a few days to drive the Scion xBox there with the 32” tv and the rest of the silverware...
If things really tank, well head there with or without a job there.
Some kind of TSHTF will come about.

Our current economic situation reminds me of a show I saw about a rich family right after the market crashed in 1929. Dad was dead and the oldest son kept moving expensive furniture into the attic and told his mom that it was so the neighbors did not think they were living too “high on the hog”.
Of course, in the end they have no money and must move and mom says they should try to sell the furniture in the attic. The son says “what do you think we’ve been living on? The furniture is long gone.”
I think we are approaching that point very soon. Almost certainly this summer at the latest. But to be perfectly honest, A year ago I anticipated it would happen before summer. I’m running out of time for that one.
We have a President who is committed to the destruction of the Constitution. He is doing well so far. I predict it will continue on schedule.
