Americans have a taste for absurd humor. Whether if it is from a gross-out movie by Judd Apatow, or a British import such as Monty Python's Flying Circus, we have a keen sense that we can find laughs in impossibly ridiculous situations.
So, it is in that spirit that I present to you the most absurd absurdity of 2010: The Year of the Absurd.
In a meeting with Chinese government goons, Assistant Secretary of State Michael Posner tried to put America and China on the same moral plane. So far, so good. Yes, the premise is absurd, so laughs are sure to follow.
In any negotiation there is a trick to getting the other side to understand that both sides want a win-win. However, to counter-balance Chinese atrocities (61 years of human rights abuses, a certain massacre in Tiananmen Square, the unpleasantness when Mao murdered 50 million of his countrymen) Posner acknowledged American issues such as U.S. human rights abuses, crime, poverty, homelessness and racial discrimination.
Finally (now get ready to laugh at the absurd!) Posner said U.S. officials did not whitewash the American record and in fact raised a new immigration law in Arizona that requires police to ask about a person's immigration status if there is suspicion the person is in the country illegally. Wait, what? Mao executed 95% of the Buddhist monks in Tibet. I suppose that is morally on par with asking a suspect to prove that he is not one of the 12 to 20 million people our government has lost somewhere in America.
Are liberals this dumb, clueless or just intellectually lazy?...

How about if China lets in one North Korean refugee for every illegal Mexican in the USA?
What is the Administrating apologizing for? Its own immigration laws? Change the laws. There’s not enough Conservatives to keep them from doing it.
Just reading the headline made me laugh....at least Obama is good for something...
If he keeps up this nonsense, he’ll be disowned by his own party worse than Jimmy Carter redux.
Those aren't mutually exclusive, so the answer is "yes"....
BYD, the ChiCom car company whose US HQ has recently been established in Los Angeles, uses a business model that employs migrant workers.
“BYD is the one of the largest manufacturers of rechargeable batteries in the world. Now its eyes are fixed on producing an affordable, mass-market car.” By Peter Alpern

Did he also apologize for the federal law upon which the Arizona law was based?
Let them manufacture in Mexico. Screw them.
What it really means is that the 0baMao administration will have no problem going the Mao-route if they get the chance and a self-serving reason to do it. When a President repeatedly tries to incite racial tensions you know he has no moral or ethical foundation.
The list, ping

who is paying for socialism..it certainly doesnt pay for its self.
