FOLLOWING SARAH PALIN’S LEAD, REDSTATE BOSS, AND DEVORE SUPPORTER, NOW READY TO SUPPORT FIORINA [BAR

Once again Sarah Palin’s wisdom and political savvy has been proven to be spot on. Sarah saw weeks ago what others are just now realizing: Chuck DeVore has no hope. He has no chance of winning the Californian Republican primary against Carly Fiorina and Tom Campbell.

As we have said before, it was shaping up to be a great battle and California, and the Nation would have been well served by either a Senator Fiorina or a Senator DeVore. Though not a Californian, I was an early DeVore supporter, however, ethics issues that have surfaced trouble me greatly.

Had this race remained a two way competition, I seriously doubt Sarah would have stepped in and endorsed anyone, saving her political capital for the general election and Barbara Boxer. Life throws one curves though and Tom Campbell is a serious wrench thrown into the works!

Recent threads have shown Devore surging. I am sticking with Devore, I don’t trust Fiorina at all. I will vote for her if she is the only antiboxer, but not until then.

Poor, poor, poor move. Fiorina is incompetent and nearly destroyed HP.

I really have to question the judgment of Erickson (whom I normally agree with) and Palin on this. I know Campbell is even more of a lib than Fiorina, but the last thing I want as the face of the GOP is another incompetent corporate CEO who nearly destroyed a company.

Yea, that was just kind'a left hanging in mid-air with no other mention in the story. I'm not a California voter but this one is interesting.

There is no real ethics issue - just sleazy politics by Fiorina - http://taxdollars.freedomblogging.com/2010/04/15/group-with-fiorina-tie-files-complaint-against-ocs-devore/55335/

I would first vote for my pet Kinkajou (if I had one).

They are drop dead cute and intelligent.

A coatimundi or a good howler monkey (a howler monkey can be heard 3 miles away) would also be good choices too over Fiorina.

Gads, a cute goldfish would be better.

The writer’s sacrificing Conservative principles simply to jump on the band wagon approach is the same losing mentality the OP(formerly the GOP) used to nominate McAmnesty in 2008. The writer compounds his misguided notion by claiming DeVore has “ethics issues” but doesn’t cite those alleged issues!
If this jerk truly believed in DeVore and his Conservative principles then he would have worked to help him instead of jumping ship. This is assuming DeVore’s poll numbers are sliding.

Devore and Fiorini are both not CONSERVATIVE. It is kind of like trying to decide who is more liberal... shep smith or jerry rivers.

This thread deserves a barf alert for its spin. It is essentially covering the same news as the thread “Conservative gives the candidate he backs in California an ultimatum [Get moving DeVore].”

However, the opening lines of this POS makes it clear that the rag that published it has another agenda unrelated to the support of conservatives. Once again the Fiorina supporters REFUSE to tell us they know what constitutes a Statist, and how very different a Statist is from a true conservative.

Since two mid-March polls, DeVore’s numbers have surged by 76%, Campbell’s by 37%, and Fiorina by only 4%. Fiorina is the one who needs to drop out. An endorsement by Palin could’ve put DeVore over the top, instead it was an epic fail decision by Palin. Fiorina is stagnant.

Mid March (2 polls avg):
Campbell 25.5%
Fiorina 23%
DeVore 8.5%

Current:
Campbell 35%
Fiorina 24%
DeVore 15%

Stein’s statement is basically correct, but not quite all correct...Eric reiterated on RedState that he was still all out for DeVore, but in the event he doesn’t make it, he will go out for ANYBODY, other than Boxer or Campell.

I’m flummoxed.

I don’t remember Reagan comparing himself to any past president.

If Sarah were her own person and secure within herself, she wouldn’t continuously need to use our wonderful past president as a backdrop for statements.

Either she has it, or she doesn’t.

Reagan was a person secure within himself. He knew in what direction he was going to take the country.

Sarah appears to be depending on Reagan’s name to take HER forward. As much as I love her, her position is weak if she can’t break loose and charge forward on her own.

The nation and California would have benefited more greatly from a DeVore victory.

But Fionora is an acceptable choice (at least she is pro-life, unlike the guy a lot of people here supported in Massachusetts in order to beat the Democrat). And we need one of these two acceptable choices to drop out so the other can beat Campbell, who while still better than Boxer, is a horrible choice.

It seems clear DeVore isn’t going to drive Fionora out of the race, nor is he going to draw enough votes from Campbell to win or to allow Fionora to win.

The CalGOP is filled with RINOs and Statists. Schwarzenegger, as is its titular head, has been hamstringing conservatives because they wouldn't go along with his Statist and Greenie (but I repeat myself) agenda. So he punished us by withholding funds, forcing each conservative to run independently. THAT's is prime reason DeVore hasn't gotten much money. And as NormsRevenge noted on another thread, the pols are not to be trusted. The pols tell us Campbell has 1/3 of the primary vote locked up -- yet NOBODY on FR is fighting for him? WTF? Something is rotten in the state of Denmark California polling.

You wrote

But Fionora is an acceptable choice (at least she is pro-life, unlike the guy a lot of people here supported in Massachusetts in order to beat the Democrat).
So she says. She's not been tested in any political office where she might wind up compromising on that. So that's a mighty fine thread of hope you've grabbed hold of there FRiend.

Furthermore, it isn't hard to find out how to recognize a Statist leaning candidate. Just because Carly comes from the private sector, don't make her a conservative. The GE chairman is in the private sector. Bill Gates is in the private sector. You think they're conservatives? Hell no. They look to the STATE to pass laws to provide them an advantage over their competitors.

Carly is in favor of cap and tax. Is that conservative?
Carly is in favor of restrictions on free speech, characterizing the Internet with the wild west. Is that a conservative?

I could go on providing you more evidence, but it would be far better were you to uncover more evidence on your own so it will open you eyes to the truth, and to understand Statist goals. Pure selfish power seeking that disguises itself as Captialism, but doesn't want a free market, it wants a CONTROLLED market -- and if individuals wind up being controlled, well that's too bad. That is NOT conservative dammit!

The Statists came into California to back Schwarzenegger so they could steal the recall election that was this country's first modern tea party. They're back again in an attempt to demoralize the California branch of the tea party by trying to run a Statist as a conservative in disguise. They claim they need this Statist to defeat the "moderate Republican" (a liberal retarded by about 5 years behind other libs) whom has no visible support in all of Free Republic.

Please learn to recognize Statists, this will not be the last time they'll try to run such subterfuge.

And please don't fall for the Statist hijacking of the California GOP primary. Fiorina is NOT a conservative, she is a STATIST!

This is not a report its a screed. This does not identify who is the originator of the statements. Unless the attributer is identified the smear has no value. Smears 101

Nope. He would have then been tainted with the "RINO"-virus. 'Cause Sarah's a raving RINO don't ya know. (/sarc)
