Akin Urges Full Investigation of John Adams Project and Alleged Outing of CIA Agents

WASHINGTON—Congressman Todd Akin (R-MO), ranking member of the House Armed Services Seapower and Expeditionary Forces Subcommittee today, sent a letter cosigned by 47 colleagues to President Obama urging a full and thorough investigation of the ACLU’s John Adams project which may have intentionally revealed the identity of covert CIA operatives to members of Al Qaeda currently held at Guantanamo Bay.

The following is the list of cosigners on the letter to President Obama regarding the alleged outing of covert CIA agents by ACLU’s John Adam’s project:

If this is true — if the names of our operatives were intentionally revealed to enemies of the united states — the parties suspected should be charged with espionage and high treason. If found guilty, they should be imprisoned for life. If their divulging of information caused the loss of any American or Allied lives, they should be sentenced to death by firing squad....

Why do I get the idea that some of the people who revealed the identities of these agents are actually FROM the White House...?

Hell, they should be charged with treason and attempted murder. We are at war. This word game Leftists play about free speech needs to be checked by it's application towards enemy combatants - that's hardly an unjustified limit.

And I don't think the Founders would disagree. What would they have said if Benedict Arnold had invoked free speech to defend his discussions about West Point's vulnerabilities with the British?
