yesterday went thru a whole body scanner at the airport for the first time. you can identify them because they look like two big refrigerators. you stand in between, on the yellow footpads, with your hands in the "O" sign over your head for around 30 seconds.
the image is sent to a guy in another room that you cant see and cant see you. after a while, the TSA guy next to you gets a radio call either clearing you or grabbing you for more searching. The TSA guy told me "thick underwear" is a problem sometimes, they need to see everything and sometimes they cant. Think about that for a minute. Guess they can have a high speed thong line.
Creepy doesnt begin to get it. Have we lost our minds? Also, it takes forever and the line is really backed up.
As an example of government gone wild and with out any limits, any, i cant think of a better example.
30 seconds, eh?
Not much radiation passing through you, is there? sarc
Thick underwear-That Depends!
Next thing you know, we'll all be ordered to go commando...
Are they going to make senior citizens who wear “depends” strip down to nothing?
Air travel used to be fun. Not anymore. Thank you, TSA; thank you, airlines.
And all these security measures don’t help if yout government does things like take a suspected terrorist off the do-not-fly list, or the airlines failing to check their passenger list against the do-not-fly list for any possible terrorist.
I’ll either stay home or take the train (until the same security nonsense is implemented for train travel too).
Do we fly naked and handcuffed to the seat or do we abolish one cult from flying on our planes.
Strippers at least get tips (not sarc)
yeah saw that. even mentioned it to one TSA screener. she acted like it was news to her.
99% of the TSA peeps i talk to , and thats a lot, i go thru the airports a couple times every week, most of the peeps are really good people doing the job they are told and trained to do.
Whats pretty obvious is the huge number of people just standing around, Thousands Standing Around is what TSA stands for in case you didnt know.
But its like any other no budget government program. and is it really that effective for the $$. Now i notice they are doing random checks at the boarding gate again.
The key change that would have prevented 9-11 was barricading the pilot door. Prior to 9-11 the policy was to give the hijackers the plane and negotiate. Now, i dont think hijackers could take over a plane. Every guy on the plane would fight back, thats my opinion.
Been through them a number of times. No big deal. Since I have a knee implant, it means that I don’t have to have a secondary screening. I’ll take that option any day.
Only if there is no Mohamed or some variation thereof in their name.
So when do we get to see Sarah?
Just kidding. I never liked airports and all of the hassles associated with them. Now, I wouldn’t get on a plane unless muslims move in next door.
Yeah, seriously!?...and what about "That time of the Month?"
I DO have something to hide - my body view is between me and my husband and my doctor on checkups.
Did you get a thumbs up or a thumbs down? :)
TSA = Travel Strips Ancients
