It just goes to show: Terms like “white” aren’t exactly scientific, although many people (including some people on this forum) seem to believe so. The definition changes with our culture. One of my family members - who is of European descent - is told that he looks Middle Eastern. Even Middle Easterners think he does.
Actually he is white, as are all Middle Easterners. Shave their beards and take the towel off their heads and they could be mistaken for a jew, Italian, Spaniard, or Greek just as well. Middle Eastern is considered in the causasian race. When the story broke that it was a white guy in his 40’s, that meant nothing to me.
I’m glad that they misidentified him at first. It allowed the administration to refer to him as a terrorist and his actions as terrorism. And now that language is out there. And they’re stuck with it.
I am Italian and I looked like terrorist when I grew a beard back in January.
It's fortunate that he isn't a Mohammedan. That might lead to religious bigotry.
This is what happens when the extreme liberal left is cornered like a rat.

Hey, what can you say? It doesnt fit their narrative. It doesnt fit their agenda.
MSM such as CNN/MSNBC/NPR etc. is purposely doing *downplay*. It's just too plain BIG to outright "spike".
But if the Times Square perp were a White, "gun nut" (their words) on the right type, why you would NEVER hear the end of this and Obama would be calling martial law and reporters would be combing every possible angle, flying to any state and staying in any Holiday Inn working 24/7 trying to connect it to something wider.
