"According to the family, Obama's father travelled to America to study at the University of Hawaii in 1959.
While there, he worked for an oil company and married his second wife, a white woman, named Anna Toot, and their union produced Barack Obama Jr.
Obama's book says Obama Snr left his family in Hawaii after winning a scholarship to study in Harvard when his son was two years old.
The marriage later broke up after Anna's father opposed it, according to Mama Sarah.
"Anna's father was furious about the marriage and threatened to have Obama Snr expelled from the university. Our son sent us letters, pleading that we intervene to save the marriage," remembers Sarah."

In the face of: The birth certificates that place his birth in Mombasa to Stanley Ann; the missionaries who saw her try to get on the airplane pregnant; Susan Blake who saw her on Mercer Island a very short time after the birth in the first week of August, 1961; you can't have a problem with her as the mother.
Obama's testimony that his mother was in Kenya 72 hours before he was born--what was she doing there?
I haven't spent the money or time to search for evidence that they were married in Kenya. I think that is the logical analysis--the legend became married in Hawaii because they wanted to erase her presence in Kenya before the birth but that is the logic of where she was and where they were married. If I had the money and capacity to look, I would find evidence that is where they were married.
Obama's father's wives becoming friends with Stanley--when other than between February 1961 and August 1961?
Why did she spend the money to divorce him if she wasn't married to him?
Why did she keep trying to get together with him in Boston in 1962?
And in 1959--Stanley Ann was in Chicago? She was still in high school at Mercer Island?

I used to listen to Hawaiian music stations when I drove to work when I lived on Oahu, many years ago...
I think everything about the family is a lie - including the stuff about the Dunhams being Stanley Ann’s parents. If you look at photo analysis of the family pictures - there’s a lot of hinky stuff going on. None of these people are who they present themselves to be - of that I am absolutely certain.
Also - I’m unfamiliar with the Anna Toot/Tout stuff - will have to catch up in the am and do some research. If her name is not coming up - they have a habit of using dead people’s SSAN’s and other vitals - might be worth looking there.

Stanley Ann and zero went to Kenya in 1982-3 shortly after the old man died. That's when Kezia meant 'she was like a sister to me' that 1982/83 visit was never reported in the US press, but it IS reported in Kenya.

I remember it was a sunny day, and I visited Stanley at the house of the friend she was staying with on Mercer Island. We talked for about an hour, mostly about her new baby, Barack Obama Junior. I recall that she said she was on her way to join her husband, but I don?t recall where that was. We didn?t talk much about her husband or her plans, we talked mostly about the baby. Like most of my friends, I was shocked at the turn of events. Stanley Ann was only a year out of high school and was already married with a child. I never thought that she was someone who wanted to get married. She was always someone who seemed focus on getting an education.
Seattle Times journalist Jonathan Martin reports that some high school classmates recall visiting her and her young son alternately at the Laurelhurst student housing, then at a Capitol Hill apartment during the period that stretched from March 1962 to at least September 1962.
In March, 1962, Stanley Ann Dunham enrolled as a full time student at the University of Washington for the spring quarter, which continued until June, 1962, earning 10 credit hours that quarter. She also rented her own apartment.
Another class mate, Barbara Cannon Rusk, recalls visiting Stanley Ann Dunham and her baby son Barack at her apartment on Capitol Hill in Seattle shortly after the end of these spring quarter classes. (1962).
(None of those stories make sense, it's all hear-say, Barack Hussein Obama left Hawaii on the 22nd June, 1962, supposedly commenced at Harvard in September, but there's nothing from Harvard to show he was ever there...and the divorce papers were returned marked RETURN TO SENDER)

So we are asked to believe...but in 'Dreams' she's quoted as saying 'I was only sixteen then' and if she was born in 1942, that places her in Chicago in 1958.
I may be late to the party on this thread, but judging from the various comments here a lot of folks seem to be assuming that Obama Sr. is the daddy. I just can’t get past the fact that Zero does NOT look like Sr.
Now I definitely think Zero does have a Dunham chin. So if Anna Toot or TOUT or whatever the hell her name is has a chin that resembles the rest of the Dunhams, I’ll buy that.
But Obama Sr.? No way.

There’s no doubt that zero is from the Dunham family on the maternal side, there’s no doubt in my mind that Stanley Ann Dunham was his mother...
What I am trying to indicate is, (and remember, zero himself says in his book that some characters are COMPOSITES) that when Obama Senior wrote home to Kenya that he had married a woman named ANNA TOOT (OR TOUT) and was working for an oil company...
HE WASN’T WRITING ABOUT STANLEY ANN DUNHAM. GET IT?
